Fantastic. What f stop did you use to catch the propellers like that? I

If you download the file and right click onto it and select properties you
will see the Exif data - this first file says f11.
But its not the f stop but the speed that is important to show the props. I
have a 'Herc' custom setting on the camera that sets the speed to 1/160th of
a second. That appears to be about right for me - any slower and the whole
aircraft goes fuzzy as you fight the weight of the lens.

I was typing and not thinking. I meant to ask about the shutter speed.
Duuuhhhh..... my bad.
The reason I asked is I tried to take some pictures of a P-51D doing a
pass and I lowered the shutter speed and got fabulous propeller spin
pictures. Problem is that the aircraft was fuzzy as you mentioned. I don't
remember what shutter speed I tried. Someone mentioned there are specific
speeds that are best for two bladed, three bladed and four bladed
propellers. Always something new to learn, Tom
