Nit-picking: a Bf109-4 does not exist. Looks like a Bf109-F or B109-G.
I would have to dive into this but perhaps somebody with more detailed
knowledge than me can tell what sub-type of the F or G we are dealing with
here.

Yes, my error. The Museum describes it as a Bf109F-4
