Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival by

The festival was Friday night to today. First night and day there was too
much lightning for us to attend. Today we went to see them lift off. It
wasn't a mass ascension but the crews dispersed to fields west of Foley.

Just about every surviving DeHavilland in the world appears to be flying
over our house today. Something going on at RAF Halton nearby, I think.

Looks to me like an aircraft from the test squadron at Patuxtent River Naval
Air Station. He was turning from the south to the east to land on runway
07R at KNPA this afternoon. I was photographing a water moccasin and just
snapped the aircraft as he went by.
