on topic link note about an aviation news item by
Tom Callahan
We really hooted and hollered at the news tonight. Couldn't resist sending
an e-mail to NBC telling Brian Williams what his editors missed.
The video is available to view at msnbc nightly news if you are a MSN Live
member.
We record the News with Brian Williams every night and watch it later in...

Just posting this as I think it may be of interest to some of you good
folks.
Apologies for posting this way, I'm still trying to get my head around my
newish PC and its assorted programs.
This clipping, which is from the UK's Sunday Express newspaper dated
28.4.74., I found inside a book that...

Another home-made helicopter by
Dave Whiley
This one is on display at the Newark* Air Museum. According to the placard,
the builder was born in Poland (hence the paint job) and never attempted to
fly it... Which is probably just as well.
* The one in England, that is.

SO WHAT DID YOUR PARENTS DO IN THE BIG WAR by
SHIVER ME TIMBERS
Well after watching the Ken Burns series THE WAR ad naseum ad naseum,
I thought I'd come into the group today with one of my curious questions.
What did your parents, family, etc. do in the big WWII.
Mine worked at the Canada Car foundry in what was then called
Fort William, Ontario.
They were...

Warbirds are out today (SFV, CA) by
redc1c4
not sure where they're going, but 7 of the Texans out of Van Nuys flew overhead
in formation heading east, about 30 minutes ago, and just now an A-26 (?) and
the local B-25 went over, heading the same way.
redc1c4,
(and i mean *right* overhead..... %-)

Delta's 610 doing flyby at Pensacola Airshow by
Tom Callahan
No passengers, no baggage or cargo and not a lot of fuel made it easy for
the pilot to put on a little show when he arrived at Pensacola for the
airshow. On static display, thousands visited the aircraft and many bought
shirts and souvenirs. Proceeds from the sales go to cancer research.
