Aviation Dilemma 101 - How much trust in a 10 day forecast?? by
Kyle Boatright
I"m lookin' at going to Oshkosh towards the end of the show - Thursday
through Sunday. Right now, the weather channel is predicting a pretty good

Own your own fuel truck? by
Dan
Would it be possible to sell fuel at an airport simply by driving a
fuel truck to the field? Would I need an office, or could I simply
drive the truck from airport to airport selling gas?
Does anyone know how difficult it would be to get a permit to do this?

flap deployment by
[email protected]
I'd like to get some general information on flap deployment if someone
would be kind enough to provide it.
Is the flap angle normally held constant throughout climb? Ditto for
descent.
If not, what are the typical rules or schedule for changing the flap
angle for a large commercial aircraft?...

Liability for rental aircraft that's stolen by
almostthere
I have AOPA's renter's insurance. Limits are to $60K for damage. The
policy doesn't appear to cover theft, and certainly if it did, the theft of
the rental aircraft that I fly would cause the owner a greater loss. He's
covered, I'm sure, by his own policy but can his insurance carrier come
after...

Military Air Fields by
Paul kgyy
Military airfields are shown on charts just like any other airport,
with no indication that they are prohibited or restricted.
What is the rule with these? Can I just land there as long as I
establish tower contact? Or is the chart depiction present only for
emergency purposes?
Sorry for the...

Skylune
http://www.2theadvocate.com/news/3378291.html
Home was reportedly "totally destroyed." Occupant of nearby mobile home
that was struck is dead.
Like I said yesterday, NTSB needs to start keeping track of damaged and
destroyed structures, as well as ground casualties.
In Portland, Intel is now...

Are there any recommendations for places in Southern Wisc or Northern
IL that have a restaurant on the field & fuel available? I'll be coming

Banning mogas at the airport... by
Jay Honeck
For years, now, I've read that it's illegal for an FBO or airport to
forbid aircraft owners from fueling their own planes. In another
group, I simply parroted that information -- and now one of the group
members wants to know WHICH law expressly prohibits an FBO from
inhibiting an owner's ability...
