C182 Fuel Problem by
Richard Ross
Has anyone heard of a problem in earlier (1974) C182s where one fuel tank will draw down 3/4
before drawing from other tank when fuel selector in "Both" position? If so, any articles online?

Buy One Share of Boeing Stock by
[email protected]
LOL! At http://www.anrdoezrs.net/click-1889199-517456 you can buy one
share of Boeing stock (I see their picture still has the old logo) for
$150.00 (instead of the $83.22 plus fees it would cost from a broker).
Probably that same site that sells old Atari Corporation...

Sad goodbyes to N04 by
[email protected]
Well, as 2 airports a month close in this country it's time to say a sad
good bye to N04. It's a beautiful uncontrolled field just east of BDR
and HVN. Beautiful and right by the water. Tiny field but close to a
main road and a 4 minute walk to the dunkin donunts, bagels, sea food,
exxon.. The...

Aviation movies, was "Pearl Harbor still sucks... by
[email protected]
I'm surprised no one mentioned "Strategic Air Command" starring Jimmy
Stewart. The B-36 and B-47 scenes were outstanding, and the story wasn't
too bad. Later Rock Hudson starred in "A Gathering of Eagles" which was
likewise filled with great aviation scenes, B-52s galore, and a pretty
darned...

AOPA has totally lost it by
Skylune
1. "Just the facts, maam": Of the 10 busiest airports (listed airports
are big commercial airports), GA contributes only 4.5% of the traffic.
The Destroyer's conclusion: "So much for the airlines claim that GA is
using more than its paying for." Hysterical. Beyond ludicrous.
2. AOPA opposes...

I've been googling my heart out for some fuel burn numbers for the
Piaggio Avanti. Could someone in the know give me even an average
ballpark number in pounds per hour?

SeaTac Tower: Nobody Home by
Philip S.
Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but I just saw a story on my local
news (in the Pacific Northwest) about an incident at SeaTac airport on April
11th, and this is the first I've heard of it.
Apparently, there was a period of about 30 minutes on that day (no mention
as to what time of day)...

a couple of questions... by
GE
Let me start by saying that I consider myself a new pilot, although I've had
my certificate for 2 years and a little over a 100 hours. I had to take some
time off from flying when my plane was damaged by my partner, then totaled
by Katrina. (I've made a few posts with regards to the above.) Anyway,...

Flying just got cheaper!! by
[email protected]
Has anyone heard of the new Sport Pilot program? Basically, it's a
brand-new pilot rule created by the FAA that lets you fly at half the
cost of a traditional pilot license. No medical needed--if you can
drive a car, you can fly an airplane! You can become a sport pilot with
as little as 20 hours...

Prop pitch cycling? by
Frode Berg
Hi!
I was told by my mechanic to only pull the prop handle until I could audibly
hear a slight pitch change to establish that it was working.
However, the aircraft manual says it should be cycled completely, and on a
cold engine three times to make sure oil is applied to the governor, or...
