I know, and I can read it. And someone is going to say that they
prefer it that way.
I can just see an ASR-33 Teletype machine jumping up and down and

Camping at Yellowstone by
[email protected]
We have been invited by friends to a camping trip at Yellowstone park
this summer. The camp ground is at Bridge Bay in Yellowstone national
park.
I am based in El Monte, Los Angeles basin. Which airport should I use
for the less driving time to camp ground. Thanks.

Best site for METARS, TAFs, Nexrad on a Treo by
Maule Driver
I just spent the weekend Web surfing for weather on my Treo.
Suprisingly, even ADDS works pretty well.
But my question - what's the best free site for picking up METARS, TAFs
and perhaps even Nexrad images on a Web enabled phone? Limited
bandwidth and limited screen size.

60 Minutes 4/17 by
Jimbob
Wow. Did I actually see some positive mainstream GA press? I thought
it was going to be a piece on how sportpilot planes were going to fall
out of the sky...
Watch Mollers stock take off again. Might break $0.25 this time.

DIAMOND LOOKING TO CHINA by
Darkwing \(Double Secret Disinformation Agent\)
I knew it was only a matter of time before a plane manufacturer moved to
China. Considering some of the shoddy metal quality (my vice that broke in
HALF last week is a good example) that comes from over I don't know how
confident I would be in a Chinese built...

CANPASS application by
Paul Tomblin
As anybody who flies across the US/Canada border knows, the standard
procedure for Canadian customs is to call 1-888-CANPASS before hand, fly
to your airport of entry, and then call 1-888-CANPASS after you arrive.
However, one of the places I commonly fly to, Oshawa Ontario, doesn't
allow that...

Reply to "Can They Do This? Restrict VFR traffic, [Idaho] by
[email protected]
All technicalities aside, it comes down to the fact that the resort
owners at Sun Valley are sucking up to the
"Richie Riches" and pressure the airport manager to cater to their jets.
That and the fact that the jets & turbines that come into Friedman
put a lot more $$ in the FBO's pockets ...

Just starting out... by
Jase Vanover
Was on vacation this week, so decided to drop by the nearby GA airport and
go for a flight to see if I really do want to get my pilot's license. Let's
just say that I'm hooked and leave it at that. It's a good thing the
Instructor was busy scanning the sky because had he looked at me, I...

I am interested in hearing opinions good, bad or otherwise about
SunState Aviation as I am considering them for pilot training and
would like some feedback from the community before committing to this.

Something going on at Moffett Field next week? by
Ditch
Well..I know the July airshow has been cancelled, but the company I work for
wants me to fly an airplane in on Friday to put on display. Is there
something like an open house going on? Just curious because I can't find
anything on it.

(OT) What is Boeing up to??? by
Omega
Asked these question in another NG:
It looks like Boeing is ready to replace the 747 with the 777, that the
Dreamliner (787, 7E7) is coming online to replace the 757 and 767 and that
the 737 will be medium product. Is this correct?
How fast will this happen? What happened to the idea of the 767...

Airport Geocaching by
SeeAndAvoid
If you're looking for something to do with your airplane, check out
a site I'm messing with at
http://www.longmontairport.com/apgeo.htm
Some of the regular posters on here have their airport represented
by the map showing geocaches near airports. I tried to scare up a
little interest in this a...

Hi everyone. I'm in the process of obtaining renters insurance.
The two companies that I'm currently looking at are Avemco and
AOPA for insurance.
I was wondering if anyone has any positive or negative comments
or recommendations about either of the two fore mentioned companies.
Please let me...

A web site that does exactly what it says on the tin.... by
Nigel
I was talking to someone about how difficult it is to buy from a web site
nowadays. So many people have missed the point. As a web designer I was told
you should be able to buy something from a site in three clicks.
At last I found a site that allowed me to do this. It's called
www.modelbits.com...
