Experiences using SeeYou as Flarm display by
[email protected]
My personal opinion is that a dedicated Flarm display is necessary if the Flarm unit is hidden or lacks a display. I use the well-known V3 display (as in: http://www.streckenflug.at/shop/product_info.php?cPath=67&products_id=318), mounted on the instrument panel sun guard lip with an adapter like...

Experiences using SeeYou as Flarm display by
Dave Springford
If you have SYM and the Oudie connected to a V7, then you get all the clock displays on the the V7 and the radar display on SYM. This is a really nice set-up that uses minimal panel space.
See the pictures of the V7 flarm display at:

Seeking Komet Trailer Axle by
Marc Henis
I am seeking a relacement axle for a Komet III trailer (year-1978 - 850
kg).
As is the case with many Komet Trailers of this age, the Torsion component
of the axle on one side has failed and while it is OK for short retrieves,
it will soon have to go on at least quite long trip - - and...

Fence Free Flying in Texas by
[email protected]
I can attest that there are a lot of cows and fences in Texas. Texas is blessed - well - yes Texas is blessed. Sorry, back to the subject of this post. Texas is blessed, however, with several large areas where the land is good enough to be farmed every year, so most of the land has never been...

15m Nationals Return Trip by
[email protected]
Is there anyone who is going to the 15m Nationals in Montague who will be returning South bound in the vicinity of Sacramento? I will be returning via airlines back to New York and the flight fare is substantially cheaper out of Sacramento CA rather than Medford Oregon. A ride would be greatly...

Good 15 m Cobra trailer needed urgent by
Steve Koerner
Dear RAS friends,
My nice Cobra trailer just got whacked on the freeway. I'm trying to sort out what my options are. I think the trailer has enough damage that it wouldn't be economic to repair. Moreover, May is peak season here in Arizona; so waiting for somebody to order parts from Germany...

Trailer Chains - To Cross of Not to Cross - That is the Question by
JohnDeRosa
I have been told that crossing your trailer safety chains is the right thing to do. Something about if the coupler comes off the ball, the trailer will be limited in its wayward travel. Sounds like something for Mythbusters to figure out. Yes or no, what say you?
And while you are at it, anyone...

Libelle 201 Trailer Fixtures by
Bob
I am looking for a fuselage dolly and the fixture that captures the nose of the glider from an eberle trailer. Does anyone have or know of salvageable rigging from a possibly non salvageable trailer? I am in Florida so only stateside makes any sense.
Thanks,
Bob

Solar panel chargers and LiFePo batteries by
[email protected]
I have a Ventus 2CXM with solar panels for charging the batteries. There is a panel mounted selection switch to direct the solar charge to engine battery or to the individual avionic batteries. I am thinking of upgrading my avionic batteries to LiFePo. Does anyone know if my solar panel charger...

Oudie (SYM) wind by
Bob Caldwell (BC)
Hello Oudie fans,
I did the recent update with Oudie Updater last weekend. The flight before, all was well but the next flight had the wind direction exactly 180 degrees wrong. I get wind data from my 302 and get displays both on the 303 head and on the Oudie with SYM. The displays are 180...

Does anyone use a tug tow hook that releases automatically whenglider kites? by
son_of_flubber
This topic was buried in a drifting degenerate thread. I'm wondering if anyone knows more about the tow hook innovation mentioned below by UH.

Come on out folks and enjoy the great soaring Wurtsboro has to offer! Tasks will be set that are interesting and challenging to all pilots and gliders.. Sailplanes from the GAPA PW2 to 1-26s to the Duckhawk will be represented! Tentatively, the weather looks promising, with potentially some ridge...

50mm Tailer Balls Available in US $8.95 by
JohnDeRosa
I stumbled upon this source for the difficult to find (in the US) 50mm trailer ball. Better yet the ball stud is 3/4", and not metric, so it is bound to fit your ball mount. No more asking your friendly airline pilot to buy some in Germany and having to evade customs on the way back. ...
