V7 firmware updated from a PDA by
[email protected]
Hi,
Has anybody ever succeeded with updating V7 firmware from a PDA, a HX4700 specifically?
When I try it, the "Update" button does not become active.
I've tried all 4 COM ports with all speeds, including the one suggested in the manual: 115200.
When flying, I have V7 connected to an OzFLARM...

How are flights in SkyLines scored? by
kirk.stant
Starting to play with Skylines, and wondering how the flights are scored. Seems to be very close to OLC classic (handicapped distance/speed), but not exactly the same.
I would be interested in using this for informal Club contest if I knew exactly is being scored and how.

An All Around Great Day! by
Dan Marotta
Today's weather in Moriarty wasn't much for long flights but my day headed
in a different direction anyway. Today I completed my checkout in my new
(to me) Pipistrel Sinus 912, a 15 meter touring motorglider, registered
Experimental, Exhibition and Racing. After getting my logbook endorsed, I...

how much for Grob 103 twin III by
Segelflieger
Would someone please give me an estimate of how much a 1993 Grob 103 Twin III is worth in today's market?
Total time less than 300 hours!!
It has a Cobra trailer, Steve's One-man rigger, O2, full front and back instruments and LNAV/GPS20.

(US) Spring Airspace and Airport Data Update by
2KA
Hello All,
It is that time of year again. If you haven't done so in awhile, it would be a great time to update the airspace and airport databases in your glide computer, PNA, handheld GPS, or desktop planning software in preparation for the upcoming US season. The FAA data for the charting cycle...

Self Retracting Aero Tow Rope? by

On TV they have been selling a garden hose that shrinks in length when it is not in use. On TV they advertise that that it will not kink or tangle. The hose is constructed of two parts. The outer cover is a canvas like material that is flat and sealed on the edges. The inner material is a...

nanoburst by
[email protected]
It's not a meteorological phenomenon.
It's what happens when the battery in my Nano logger decided to swell up.
The case of the nano has been deformed for some time, but I thought it was just sitting in the hot sun on top of the panel causing the case to distort. A few days ago I heard a sharp...

Splitting Costs of Flying a Club Demo Ride? by
[email protected]
Here is the basic scenario:
A non-commercial glider pilot is a member of a glider club. This pilot pays $600 per year to be a part of the club and flies on average only 10 or so hours per year. That of course equates to a cost of $60 per flown hour.
Let's say this glider club member then takes...
