tow plane 100 hour inspections by
150flivver
Are tow planes required to have a current 100 hour inspection? Does it matter if it's a club or a commercial operation operating the tow plane? I thought I knew the answer but just came home after a knock down drag out "discussion" with our A&Ps.

Rudder Cable Systems Used in Modern Sailplanes by
JJ Sinclair[_2_]
There seems to be a fair amount of confusion about the springs used in almost all modern sailplane rudder cables. The springs are there to keep the pedals upright (pulling forward) and to facilitate rudder pedal adjustment through the use of an 'S' tube. Each rudder cable enters the top rear of its...

White gap tape.
Not as good as the $6 to $9 a roll tape
but very useable if you tape up and untape

Tow Pilot Rand/Question by
Dan Marotta
This is prompted by someone's description of a flight involving high sink
from tow release to landing. The pilot stated that he released from tow in
800 fpm sink at 3,000' AGL.
It's so common when I'm towing to have the glider pilot tell me, "I'll take
a tow to 3,000 feet." Then, during the...

Audio vario for the iphone by

Questions:
Does this sound correct? I want to do a 3 turnpoint closed course

Found this PNA on the K6 website. Nice specs and price, especially

Anybody have any experience with it? Seems almost identical to the
