Ameriprise Commercial with glider? by
Mitch
Does anyone have a good link to the Ameriprise commercial that features
a gal flying a glider? It pitches to the Baby Boomers and retirement.
(Only 8 more years at the ripe old age of 38 for me!) Cought my eye on
the boob tube tonight and I can't find a link anywhere.

Camper rental near Seminole? by
Frank
Anyone near Seminole have a camper van or small RV I could rent for a
week or so next March (2007?) I'm planning to arrive a week or so early
for next year's Seniors, and would like to stay on the field until my
wife shows up for the actual meet.
TIA,
Frank (TA)

79% More lenient landout scoring per 2006 US rules poll by
chris
If you can get 79% of race pilots to agree to anything that is amazing
- surely this can be considered a mandate for a rule change/serious
study. No other poll item was as clearly delineated as this.
6.2 Landouts - Carefully read John Good's evaluation of treatment
for landouts under IGC scoring....

Digital Paper displays by
Roger Worden
In the current issues of aviation magazines, there are ads for eFlyBook.
This device contains various flight documents for power pilots, but the
interesting part is the use of a "digital paper" display. Other than retail
store signs, this is the first commercial use of digital paper that I...

Photos from Winter by
Paul Remde
Hi,
I just updated my Winter instruments web site with a few photos from the
factory. Last year at this time they sent me a few photos of the town the
company is located in. This year they sent me a few photos showing the
instrument assembly area and the stand on which they adjust altimeters....

Glider gift by
Thomas Knauff
A glider ride makes a great gift. Everyone who has taken a ride exclaims it
is a never-to-be-forgotten experience of a lifetime.
Your local commercial gliderport and many glider clubs offer glider rides
and most have gift certificates.
Glider pilots all know how privileged they are to be able to...

Amber Dry Dehumidifier DH600 available in NA? by

Does anyone know if the Ruby Dry or the newer Amber Dry Dehumidifier
DH600 is distributed in North America? Is there a 120V version? If
not, does anyone know of an equivalent dehumidifier available in NA
which uses a dessicant rotor (silica gel) instead of a...

Soaring safaris by
flying_monkey
OK, it's the time of year to talk about soaring instead of doing it
here in the Northeast, so I'll ask this question. If a person was just
bursting to go soaring this time of year or up to the early spring,
maybe get some XC or badge legs, where would be the ideal place to go?
If it's not all the...

airport layouts that minimize time-on-runway by
[email protected]
Our glider club has good relations with our home airport. The airport
manager is creating a master plan for renovations of runways and
taxiways, and is receptive to ideas that will help create smoother
operations for mixed power and sailplane traffic. One of the key goals
is to minimize the time...
