Red Baron reports and other stuff Qs by
Zajcevi
Hello everybody
I’ve spent some free time with reading threads in this forum
related to Vietnam war.
It was very nice reading and while I’ve got few books about
Vietnam war (Michel’s Clashes one of the best) I’ve
learned a lot unknown facts – at least to me.
Some of...

any USAF jets located close to/in Bavaria? by
Llama Thumper
I'm currently in Bavaria and since I've seen (and heard.... the sonic
booms?) a couple of jets fly around (presumably USAF?), I was
wondering if there was any military airfield nearby with some
detachment that I could plane spot at. There's a list of bases...

Captured A/C Shootdown? by
Krztalizer
For example the Germans captured many Allied aircraft and test flew and
demonstrated them in their own markings. Were any ever shot down?
A P-61 shot down a Luftwaffe-flown KG 200 B-17 in early 1945. It had been
involved in dropping German agents in American uniforms. The "Böing" was...

Bomb hits tailplane on release by
Paul Housley
Perhaps a bit of a random question for this newsgroup.
A while ago, I saw video footage of a bomb being released from a
fighter-bomber under test conditions. It was on an aviation
documentary. The high speed camera then shows it climb up and destroy
the tailplane. I don't think they quite got...

This just came to my mind. those 56 airplanes could be
those that were accounted by Russian intel agencies
as shot down in Yugoslavia and denied by pentagon.
Quite logical indeed. Pentagon can say what ever they want
to public but not to GAO inspectors.
