Refinishing wooden prop by Wallace Berry
I have an otherwise airworthy wooden prop that could use refinishing and I'm seeking advice on how to do the refinish. What's the best way to remove the old finish? Will strippers cause the prop to delaminate? What's the best or most commonly used finish? Thanks

wing root strakes (not canard A/C) by Wallace Berry
Thanks to all who replied to my post about about building wing root fillets to reduce some tail buffeting on my Stits homebuilt. I'm pretty much convinced that some simple strakes mounted above and somewhat forward of the wing root leading edge will do the job. Some aerobatic birds and apparently...

Warp drive or other ground adjustable props by Wallace Berry
Hi, What kind of experience have any of you had with 2 blade Warp Drive or other of the ground adjustable props on 65-100 hp Continentals? Any issues with these props. My airplane is currently equipped with a beautiful 72 inch wood prop, 40 inch pitch on a C-85. It climbs very well with this setup....

Mode S transponders by Wallis
Anyone know if there's a lightweight mode S xponder in the works that's practical for cub types, gliders, whatever? I live in Europe, and the day is fast appraoaching when these will be required on all aircraft flying in or under controlled airspace, effectively confining all antiques to their own...

Speed wing extensions by [email protected]
I have just recently extended my C model speed wings. I removed the Original wing bow tips and added 48 inches of lift to each wing with flat tips. The situation now is I have a good bit of wash out. Enough to where when the tail of the plane is lifted to where the she would be in level flight, the...

he who shall not be named by Warren & Nancy
Then there is the story of zoom, who, after a peaceful demise (not while at the controls), was greeted by St. Peter at the Pearly Gates, along with a rousing reception. When he asked why he was being greeted so warmly, St. Pete explained that it wasn't often they received a pilot who had lived to...
