Fuel Prices For The July Pilgrimage by
Jim Burns[_3_]
Ahh... I forget. Airnav beats 100LL hands down with mogas pricing.
Airnav shows mogas on Airnav, but 100LL.com doesn't.
100LL.com doesn't list Portage either.
Are there any other fuel price sites?
Sorry if my posts are out of "sync", but what is up with the groups?
My ISP's news server is dead...

Baffling . . . stuffing . . . by
Steve S.
Folks:
I am in the process of sealing up a plenum project. So far all has
gone well using regular baffle seal and silicone P strip.
However there are several places of extremely irregular shape that I
cannot seal with the baffle seal or P strip. Some of the guys around
my field have advised...

82 UL Fuel by
floater
82UL was developed several years ago, to be easily produced from
automotive fuel. Instead of being produce by only one or two
manufacturers as 100LL is, 82UL could be made by any oil company. This
should make it cheaper to produce. 82UL is NOT a replacement for 100LL.
It is my understanding that...

advise on re-painting an all-wooden airplane. by
Ted
I own an all-wood homebuilt that needs a re-paint job. It's mostly
covered in plywood, but some small areas are fabric only. Fabric
covers all the wood also. The only way I can think of to prepare it
for re-painting is to sand the entire airplane down by hand, and spray
on a new coat of paint. I've...

Problem using Thunderbird for newsgroups ?? by
Montblack
I'm using Mozilla/Firefox instead of M$ Internet Explorer. I've also
switched over to (free) Thunderbird, from using M$ Outlook Express 6.0. (So
far I'm OK-happy with this combination)
I've been reading these newsgroups with Outlook Express since 1998. I'm
familiar with it and I like it. Comfort...

cessna 150 aerobat.
at 3,000ft we were climbing for altitude for a practise spin and we
sat there cruising along with full rpm at best climb speed and

oddball RFI problem by
Tri-Pacer
I recently installed an EI FP5L fuel flow instrument in my Tri-Pacer. I
would notice that at irregular intervals, it would reset it self. I'd catch
the green Remaining LED flashing as it does after a power on self test. I
could never get it to fail in flight. I pulled and prodded all the...

When to buy an engine. by
Ebby
Calling on the group for advice. I have stumbled upon an O-320 off a C-172.
The engine has 2780 since new and is timed out. Although when ferried from
the south, on a 9 hour flight it only used 1 qt. I get the mags, engine,
logs and new carb for $4000. Is that good? No storage. It came right...

Menasco by
IAN DONALDSON
Why not just build it full scale?
G'day Ted.
Now that is a good question!
Here in Australia we are allowed to build and fly aircraft that have a take
MTOW of 600 kilograms. We do not require a full aviation pilot licence to
operate these aircraft so it is an attractive proposition to make a...

EGT by

This past Sunday seemed like a good day to test run the V6 and see how
it cooled on a day forecast to be over 100 degrees. The coolant
temperatures and pressures were OK (195 @7#, oil temp 210). This was
the first time I measured the exhaust gas temperature. Ranged from
1275 to 1500 degrees F. ...

Intimidated by
Larry Smith
Big gathering at our airfield today: Waco, short-wing Pipers, a princely
PA-12, Luscombes, polished aloonyum Swift, Cubs, a covey of ultralights, and
a ragged out 310 over in the weeds with two-doglegged props and a klapsed
nosegear. They came in to enjoy our second Indian summer and $100...

C90 by
Paul Anton
I'm parting our an Alon A2A and have a mid time C90-16F with all accessories
and logs for sale. It has a 35 amp generator and Marvel Carb. I'm in the
Seattle Tacoma area (Washington State) and would prefer a local sale.
$5500.00 McCauley 71X48 prop for $500.00 additional.
Cheers:
Paul
