has MOST of the invoices for the work done during last nine years since
the overhaul. My questions are the following;
1. How much is the...

Cleaning (de-bugging) your airplane? by
[email protected]
What does everyone use to de-bug their planes?
I want to be honest with everyone, I started a company that makes a
cleaner but I don't want to use this area to advertise I just want to
see what everyone is using.

Garmin 430/530 and WAAS: Delayed again? by
Andrew Gideon
I've been surprised to read nothing here about the new delay for WAAS on the
430/530s. Perhaps it's not new to everyone else?
It was supposed to be available this summer. It's not. It's now projected
for third quarter of 2006. However, one must order before some time this
year to lock in the...

Shocking windshield a sign you need static wicks? by
Ben Jackson
While in solid IMC last Sunday I reached toward the windscreen to see how
warm the defroster was and I got a quick series of static shocks without
actually touching anything. Under the same conditions I was still
receiving the VORs for the airway I was on and communicating with ATC with
no...

Aeronca 15AC Sedan by
JAX
Amomg other planes, I've been considering the classic Aeronca 15AC
Sedan, and was wondering what to look for or to avoid when doing a
pre-buy. Also, general comments good and bad about the plane? There
aren't many for sale to use as reference, I know NAAA and Vref list
them in the mid to upper...

A36 for Family Trips by
Bob
Contemplating share of A36 primarily for work trips but also for
occasional trips with family of six (small kids). We are resigned to
shipping most of our luggage UPS for longer trips, but are interested
in strategies Bonanza owners in this situation have used to cram in
some storage here and...

Is the Mooney clock opening 2.25 inches? by
Dave Butler
Maybe someone can save me a trip to the airport to measure.
Specifically, looking to mount a Davtron 800 clock, will it fit?
While I'm at it, is there a convenient way to wire the clock for continuous
power when the master is off, or do I need the "B" model clock with the built-in
alkaline...

mooney cabin overhead light by
Dave Butler
The cabin overhead light in the Mooney (M20J) is powered even when the master is
off, which leads to an opportunity to run down the battery.
Is there a legal, safe, and convenient way to either put a timer on it, or have
it powered through the master?
Thanks.

Nigel Peart
We are shortly to install a factory reman TSIO520M into our 206 in

What run-in protocol would you adopt?
How often would you change the oil/filter?
How often would you get the shop to check it?

AOPA / MBNA credit card problems by
[email protected]
Hello,
This message is to serve two purposes: 1) to warn people about the business
practices of MBNA bank (who provides credit card services to AOPA "aircraft
owners and pilots association" customers), and 2) to find out if others have had
as much trouble as me.
Recently, I've found the payment...

Gasahol Update by
RST Engineering
Taken directly from the EAA website www.eaa.org and then to the autogas STC
page:
In the opinion of EAA, and in the interest of most conservative operations,
the following observations are offered:
a.. If alcohol content is less than 1%, fuel will probably have no effect
on aircraft.

Engine oil? by
ShawnD2112
Folks,
Been reading a bit of marketing blurb lately on synthetic engine oils with
respect to my AEIO-360 in my Pitts. I fly it mostly on weekends and it
sometimes goes a few weeks without being flown due to weather, mostly cool
and humid here in the UK.
Is there any benefit to the synthetics...

Vicky, our '75 Cardinal RG, is sick. We changed the oil and got a
report of iron in the oil analysis (from Blackstone) and iron
particles in the filter (from Second OilPinion). Hmmm... 26 tach hours
later, same thing. Pulled a cylinder: yep, cam spalling. (Assume

New aircraft come-ons by
Jimmy B.
Ever since my name has appeared in the FAA database as an aircraft
owner, I've been receiving letters and cards from various new aircraft
manufacturers asking me to take a test flight.
So far, I've received one from Cirrus, Lanceair, and Beechcraft.
Has anyone else had this happen to them? Is...
