Experience with Lithium Iron Phosphate Glider batteries? by
SF
During the winter of 2009 I was bored, and aggravated with the sealed lead acid batteries that I was using in my sailplane. They didn't hold the voltage above 12v for very long, they needed replacement every few years, and I had one die 5 miles away from the airport at the end of a 300K badge...

Computer Set up - Polars, Bugs, Ballast ? by
Casey[_2_]
Just wondering if anyone has insight to computer set up as far as these questions:
1) Glider polars come from new gliders with experienced factory pilot, right. If a glider weighs more now (20-30yrs) since the polar was created does one create a new polar or use the polar in the computer and add...

If you registered in the last 20-30 days, there was a problem with the SGP.aero website and your registration did not come thru. I know of at least 6 who may have been affected, and there are likely several more.
The entire FAI SGP apologizes for this inconvenience. The problem stemmed...

Lumbar support ideas? by
noel.wade
All -
For the third year in a row I've somehow managed to injure my back
early in the season (base of the spine/sciatic nerve). I'm beginning
to suspect its not my day-job or rigging my ship (I have a one-man
rigger); but rather my flying and seating position in the cockpit
(DG-300). Short...

Cobra trailer tail lights replacement? by
John Bojack J4
Looking to replace the factory/European style tail lights.
Although attractive (??) I think they can be confusing for USA drivers following behind it.
Any suggestions for improvement and/or making them more USA "friendly"? And also wiring them for USA vehicles.
I have seen several trailers...

It worked fine last time I flew but today, it was stuck on the startup
screen with 0 Satellites showing. I cycled the power a couple of times
with no effect. Both my ClearNav vario and my Dell Streak were both
receiving good GPS locks. The Streak reported 8 satellites.
The PF Portable had...
