ASW22 Landing Gear by
Request for assistance.
Can anyone help with providing a PDF of the exploded view of an ASW22
landing gear. I need a picture of all of the parts that are associated with
the axel on a 22. I do not need anything with the retraction mechanism,
just the parts accociated with the axel. I anticipate...

Wally Scott's Marfa Report by
Jim Hendrix
Copies of Wally Scott's Marfa Report are still available. If you plan to
fly at Marfa with Dick Johnson or Burt Compton, then this is a must read.
In 1972 Wally Scott published this report on what to expect in the Marfa
region of SW Texas. It's 10 pages of text with a chart showing areas...

Drag of LS3 compared LS3a. by
Peter Warburton
Dick Johnson found that the LS3a he tested, had a
higher sink rate over the whole polar, relative to
the LS3. He found the 'a' version to have a 6mm thicker
airfoil. Was this just a specific aircraft difference,
or are all LS3a's systematically inferior to the LS3's?

Assistance on performance *** Happy conclusion *** by
Marc Arsenault
I cannot seem to find where the posting went, however for those who are new
to this one, I was searching for information on the towing performance or
lack of performance of our club's Super Cub (150 hp).

I would like to thank all of you who sent there two cents worth....

PocketNav-CE3.exe by
Andy Durbin
Did you find what you wanted? I checked my hard drive and I can't
find that version. I do have PN4.5 and 4.5d for CE3. (I'm still
running CE2)
I see Cambridge and pulled these from their web site and now only has
links to Cumulus for GNII.

Gliders at Oshkosh 2003 by
Apis Gliders
Rather than post my annual Oshkosh report directly to the news group I decided
to place it on my Apis web site. Not to get you to look at the site but because
there are pictures and hyperlinks this year and my limited time and computer
skills allow me to use this method without problem.

Hey All,
I had some spare time on my hands on the weekend so I decided to cut up
one of those TERMINATOR HLG ships on the Charles River site...
It went together so easy, cost me about $50 AUD total (excluding
servers) and this thing fly's great, its always as high if not higher
than my friends $380...

Bugs in Glide Navigator II by
David Martin
This seems to have corrected this problem. I untoggled the "exchange
active waypoint" button and the problem of switching back to my start
point went away. The system seemed to work OK for the 15M Nationals
which I just completed. Thanks for the tip.

fatality in Hood River, Oregon, USA today. by
Gary Boggs
On Scott Richmond's third flight in his newly purchased ASW-24E, at about
500ft, the motor stalled. He had already turned 90 degrees to the right, he
turned another 90 towards the airport, did several PIOs, maybe pulling on
the manual starter cable, then stalled and spun into an orchard 600 yards...
