Why was the Fokker D VII A Good Plane? by
Matthew G. Saroff
Looking at the stats, it seems fairly ordinary for late
WWI fighters, but it's always described as dominating the skys
over the Western Front.

Osprey vs. Harrier by

Very poor choice of plane to compare it to.
To quote a recent article:

How Aircraft Stay In The Air by
Sarah Hotdesking
I received this today:-
There are still people in this company who think we weigh aircraft to find
out how much they weigh, not to calculate stresses. Of course we need to
know how much the thing weighs. How are we ever going to know how many
Thrust Pixies we need to get the thing off the ground...

Did I hear correctly on the news that PFC Lynch was awarded a Bronze Star
along with a POW Medal and Purple Heart? I can understand the last two but a

Europe as joke by
Cub Driver
For the rebuilding of Iraq, the United States has pledged $20 billion,
Japan has pledged $1.5 billion, and the European Union has pledged
$235 million.
How can anyone take Europe seriously as a force in the world?
Someone please remind me how much the U.S. has spent in the former
Yugoslavia. How...

more radial fans like fw190? by
jt
The fw190 had a relatively compact, streamlined housing
for its radial engine, apparently due to an extra fan
at the cooling air intake. If this was so successful
why hasn't it been done more often? I may have noticed
that in more recent aerobatic models from east europe...

Bu$h Jr's Iran-Contra -- The Pentagone's Reign of Terror by

Walter E. Davis, PhD blames the entire tragedy on the victims. Now we will
see the criminals pay.
How do you figure that? He blames the Bush family, which has benefitted
enormously from 9/11.

Yep - 9-11 attacks predicted in 1994 by
Laura Bush murdered her boy friend
That's when tom clancy published his popular novel "Debt of Honor"
about terrorists flying a fuel-laden jet into the Capitol Building.
Now you know why condoleeza rice and others in the bush gang don't
want to testify to the 9-11 panel. Condi told us after 9-11 that no
one could have imagined such...

"The New Soldier" by John Kerry et al by
Stop SPAM
Apparently John Kerry co-authored a book in 1971 called "The New
Soldier." There seems to be varying differences of opinion about how
much of it he actually wrote (other than his US Senate testimony during
the "Winter Soldier" hearings), but his name is certainly prominently
displayed on the cover...
