Jim Vincent
After much hunting around, I found a great site for connection cables.
http://www.moonlight-tech.com/
$10 for USB, same for serial. I haven't found any better prices.
Works fine for my Pocket PC and Clie Palm to connect to my PC. With a little
soldering, would work fine as a connector to...

Mid air by
Ian Molesworth
Two well known pilots were killed on Monday in South
Africa as a result of yet another mid air collision.
There have been 3 midairs with fatalities in the past
month and about 8 in the past year or so.
Guys, we need to face facts, we are doing something
very badly wrong! I have heard about more...

Soaring, a non-communal sport. by
plasticguy
Hi Guys.
There is a long post on why soaring is declining.
It's hard to put the finger on a problem when it is structural and
not procedural.
The plain fact is that soaring is a sport for individuals, not teams.
The participant needs the help of people who can't participate.
The best soaring...

What can a PDA do for me? by
BJen
I've got a late '80's model flight computer with an
integrated non-GPS final glide calculator and an IGC GPS
logger. I'm thinking about upgrade options to minimize the
mental workload for these items that I currently have
trouble with:
What's the current wind speed and direction?
What altitude...

American Eaglet? by

Is anyone on the list FLYING an American Eaglet sailplane? If so, I'd
like to hear about its flying qualities and sturdiness. I have the
chance to buy a complete kit Eaglet, never started, with all plans,
newsletters and trailer. I am somewhat concerned about the inverted
V-Tail. Having read a...

I did it! (long story about my glider checkride) by
Chris

PP-ASEL (at Moriarty, NM, 0E0, 6200ft MSL). Actually it was already
planned a week ago. But 900ft overcast and 5" snow in the mountains
(yes, here in New
Mexico) was not the ideal soaring weather. At least I got to know the...
