Mid air by Ian Molesworth
Two well known pilots were killed on Monday in South Africa as a result of yet another mid air collision. There have been 3 midairs with fatalities in the past month and about 8 in the past year or so. Guys, we need to face facts, we are doing something very badly wrong! I have heard about more...

Soaring, a non-communal sport. by plasticguy
Hi Guys. There is a long post on why soaring is declining. It's hard to put the finger on a problem when it is structural and not procedural. The plain fact is that soaring is a sport for individuals, not teams. The participant needs the help of people who can't participate. The best soaring...

American Eaglet? by Scott
Is anyone on the list FLYING an American Eaglet sailplane? If so, I'd like to hear about its flying qualities and sturdiness. I have the chance to buy a complete kit Eaglet, never started, with all plans, newsletters and trailer. I am somewhat concerned about the inverted V-Tail. Having read a...

I did it! (long story about my glider checkride) by Chris
