FAA Certification by fred D
Bought a built experimental powered glider and All I have is a bill of sale from an individual who is not the builder and does not know who he was. No data plate, plans or other documentation with kit number. Is there anyway to satisfy the FAA's chain of ownership requirements ? It only needs a...

Interesting Electric Aircraft Video by Nick Kennedy[_3_]
www.youtube.com/watch?v=abtj87wAX0Q Some good stuff in here. I wonder if the LAK 17 b is about to land gear up? They call the Antares cockpit "crash proof" not to sure about that.

TOST Tow Spring Pad for Cub by [email protected]
Hi All, In the process of trying to install a TOST towing system on a Super Cub. Original part received was a different design and no longer made by TOST, and there was no way we could make it fit, so it's having to be returned to the dealer. So now, we are thinking of putting the current...

Does anybody have a PDF manual for the Ilec ASR glidepath computer? I know there's one on Ilec's website, but as far as I know their site is down since several days. Any language will do (ENG preferred...). Many thanks in advance, cheers Flavio

FAI World Series 2007 - Gliding, South African Qualifier Day 1 by [email protected]
By dint of a bonus point on the Drag Race, Brits Phil Jeffery and Richard Hood tied for 6th place on day 1 of the South African "World Series" qualifier in Bloemfontein. On a clearly underset task, local entry Mannie Mclauchlan took the honours by 1 min 37 seconds. For full details see:...

Ground Launch Endorsement by Kevin Christner
Any CFIG's within a days drive of Buffalo, NY willing to give a ground launch endorsement. I've found an airport that will let me auto- launch of their 5600 ft runway. This seems to be preferable to 2.5+ hr drives to reasonable glider clubs. TIA 2C

Portable TABS coming to the USA? by son_of_flubber
Is portable TABS (non 2020 compliant ADS-B-out) coming to the USA in 2020? This unit looks a lot like portable TABS. https://uavionix.com/products/skyecho/ It also implements FLARM, and I think that would need to be disabled in the USA. The price point looks right.

Drag of Transponder Antennae compared by AS
Interesting home-brewed investigation into the drag between the fin-type and rod-type transponder antenna by one of our friends in The Netherlands. Seems like the fin type antenna - unless mounted exactly on the centerline of the glider, where the flow is expected to be parallel - may produce a lot...

I've been using Safelog, by Dauntless, for several years and I like it a lot. It requires a subscription and has both web-based and local computer components - both can be used. It is customizable easily and has what seem to me to be good search functions. I use it to keep track of my currency...

Our 2-33 has an original dual Schweizer probe on the nose bowl. One of the probes is pitot but I can not figure out if the other is the static or a TE probe of sorts. Does anyone know for sure? Thanks Pete Brown --
