Trade Breitling Chrono for Rolex? by Dudley Henriques[_2_]
Just taking a shot in the dark here. I have a Breitling chronograph watch dated 1952 #309 AOPA face E6B bezel solid stainless steel case and band in mint condition that I'd like to trade for a Rolex Sub Mariner (used but in good shape of course) if anyone is interested. -- Dudley Henriques

Medical durations for international flight by Robert M. Gary
Now that a 3rd class medical is good in the states for 5 years I was thinking I could save some trips to the Dr. However, since I fly in Canada occasionally and Mexico several times a year I'm wondering how I would know if my medical would be accepted after 5 years. I understand that info in Mexico...

F-16 Encounters in MOA by three-eight-hotel
Admittedly, I didn't exhaust all search strings to find this topic discussed in these forums, but I didn't see any hits, on my first few attempts... I am interested in hearing thoughts on the encounters that are linked off of the AvWeb...

How do weather services get sky conditions above the surface? by Mxsmanic
It's easy enough to establish measurement stations on the surface to measure wind, temperature, visibility, etc., but what is the normal way for meteorologists to measure these things aloft? Do they depend on PIREPs, or expendable/recoverable probes and balloons, or satellites, or what?

It's time to light a fire under Google's ASS by BlackHawk
It's time to light a fire under Google's ASS "United States is based on freedom of expression and other personal freedoms," Xia said. "However, many of those companies actually help with censorship in countries like China. So I think this is outrageous." Nothing better illustrates this than...

[OT] ESET32 mainosbanneri emailissa by Reko Kokkonen

Supo vaatii Tiitisen listan salaamista by Hannes Vainio
Pienipäistä moraalia, suuret toleranssit. Jälleen kerran asiaa, jota maassamme tuskin kourallinen edes tietää. OL-3 työmaan mokailut on jo alansa klassikoita. Mutta jopa siinä ilmapiirissä tämä hakee kyllä vertaistaan minusta. Ydinvoimalan suunnittelu oli enemmän kuin hakusessa jo startista asti...

Route for Southwest flights, Reno to San Jose? by AES
Can anyone tell me what might have been the detailed route for our RNO-SJC flight today, Mon 28 July, 1:00 to 1:55 pm (in terms of common geographic waypoints or GPS coordinates)? I'd always had the impression these flights departed RNO heading more or less straight west and passing well to...

Live ATC feed at Oshkosh by Capt. Geoffrey Thorpe
Running now at http://www.liveatc.net/ http://d.liveatc.net/kosh2.m3u Fisk is "coming soon" Warbirds holding over "warbird island", landing them on the dots, sequencing flights of RV's with AT-6 formations. "Cessna over the lake rock your wings"... Great stuff. --

Busy airports and small GA by Mxsmanic
What is the largest/busiest airport you've flown into or out of in a small GA aircraft as a private pilot, and was it IFR or VFR? What was the attitude of the ATC in the area towards pilots like yourself moving about in an area normally dominated by airliners and commercial flights?
