I have access to a plating facility (aviation, but it's a jet engine rebuild shop) where I can get my wing fittings plated. My understanding is that 4130 cad plating is just that, cadmium and nothing else, but this shop does it's cad plating by a coating of nickel first and then cad plating.....

I am helping rebuild a low time Tri-Pacer and we have run into A.D. probs. Does any one know of a source for Mags for an O320? Rebuildable cores would be good. We could use some cylinder assemblys too since the valves have to go.

Can any one tell me how much signal I will lose if the ground plane is not directly under the radiating element? What if I have to move it 2' away, although still tied to co-ax shield?
