Any Information on Super Stinker (S1-11B) by
Martin Morgan
Gidday.
Does anyone here have any useful information about the Super Stinker
that could help me in my decision about building one?
Yes I've flown S1's and 2(a)'s. I've read Budd Davisson's articles and I
own the plans.
Thanks.

Living with Technology by
quilljar
I've discovered a really interesting magazine about
technology generally - it covers all sorts of
different areas. That means that not all of it will be
interesting to everyone, but it's only 29 pounds
a year in the UK, and you can get them to send
you a couple of free sample copies by logging...

WAC 2003 Day 6 - From Douglass Lovell by
Andrew Boyd
Reposted from the IAC mailing list:
We have nearly finished Program 2, the first unknown. There are five
pilots remaining to fly, including Debby Rihn-Harvey and Robert Armstrong.
Kirby had a good flight today to climb back in the standings.
Low clouds in the box delayed flying until nearly...

Have you ever dreamed of running your own airline? Convinced you could

S-1C operator/flight manual by
Al MacDonald
Greetings,
Looking for an operator/flight manual for a Pitts S-1C. I have one that's
good for an S-1S, so other than the fact that the engine is a different size
and the wings are different, it kind of works. Can anyone help me out here?
Thanks,
Allan MacDonald

wallyairplanefan
I have an older Pitts S-1 project I an trying to finish. It has
Sparcraft 4 aileron wings. The old plans I have do not show the CG

should be?
Thanks!

Citabria aerobatic harness by
Ed Wild
My 1969 7KCAB is fitted with non-folding seats, and military aerobatic
harness front and rear. Recently I acquired a replacement folding seat
to take the place of the existing fixed, one-piece model in the rear.
I'm aware of AD 81-16-04 dated July 1981, which calls for a
supplemental Acro Harness...

Manifold pressure gauge problem by
Dave Russell
The manifold pressure gauge in my Super D is a pain. More acurately,
it's the line that connects it to the engine. Ten minutes of
aerobatics, and I can't get any kind of reliable reading; it just
sticks wherever.
It's easy to fix. A shot of air into the line (back toward the
engine, of course)...

Any Pitts S-1 pilots in this group? by
Kai Glaesner
Hello,
are there any Pitts S-1 (C/S/T/CC) pilots in this group?
If yes, I would like to ask what your experiences are with your engines. I'm
in the process to start building a S-1S but have not yet decided which
engine I will finaly use.
Choices are (by now):

Tailwheel question by
Steve B
I have a Starduster SA100 with a Scotts tailwheel. The tailwheel is
not tight on the springs it is loose and the wheel can be moved a few
inches each direction before the springs make contact.
I would think that there should be no play in the springs... my
thought is that it could cause shimmy and...

Secondary Stall by
w3n-a
http://w3n-a.blogspot.com/2008/12/secondary-stall.html
This stall is called a secondary stall since it may occur after a
recovery from a preceding stall. It is caused by attempting to hasten
the completion of a stall recovery before the airplane has regained
sufficient flying speed. When this...

Yee-ha! by
Bushy
Did it today! After 12 years of watching the sky and dreaming, I finally had
my first fly since buying the farm. (Wonder if anyone can guess why I
stopped flying?)
2 hours 20 minutes of shear joy in two lessons, flew over my farm for the
first time and flew a taildragger to boot! I know some of...
