P-1000 digital tech by
[email protected]
I have a Horizon Instruments, Inc. P-1000 Digital Engine Tachometer.
It has a 6-pin connector labeled "Amphenol 14S-6PF". Does anyone have
a source to buy a matching connector to build its hardness? Also,
anyone has pin-out for this unit?
Thanks in advance.

Apollo 820 GPS by
flps_74
Hello all,
Our old panel mounted (yes very old) Apollo 820 GPS by IIMorrow
appears to have kicked the can. When turned on it goes through it's
usual sequence but eventually emits a red warning along with the
message "GPS unable to compute position". There appears to be
reception of satellites...

petroleum fuel , it can outperform it," says John Rusek, a professor

Something else by

Saturday we took Fat Albert and flew from mid michigan to Dayton, Ohio
for the world famous Dayton Hamfest... My son and my old buddy Ed
went with me... Took 1:45 going down in the early morning darkness,
where the dawn is just a band of bluish light on the horizon... Smooth
air... But 30 Knots...

Nav Light Graphic by
RST Engineering
OK, I've been googling, wikiing, and reading FAR gobbledygook all morning
and I still don't have a clear picture of what the nav light requirements
(in both azimuth and elevation) are as regards brightness.
If anybody has a point to a clear post of the brightness requirements, I'd
sure be...

Piper single axis autocontrol question. by
Mike Noel
My '74 archer developed an intermittent problem where the aileron would have
a 'soft stop' at one end of the control throw. I thought a mechanic might
have left a rag or some such under the floor that moved around and sometimes
prevented full control deflection, so I removed the floorboard...

My Airplane Is No Longer Available!! by

Since all I get now is flakes that don't want to even split 1/2 the fuel on
a flight together and do not want to help with General Maint when using MY
plane for their solo personal use and leave the tanks near empty when they
park it I regret to inform all that the ride share in my plane is no...

Ethanol by
Dave
Where is it dictated that certain states/cities require ethanol in their
auto fuel?
I've been to the EPA website and get 1000 hits on ethanol, but none
which show me the requirements.
Thanks

Citabria Fuel-Flow Problem by
quietguy
The A/C in question is a 1974 Bellanca 7ECA, re-engined with an O-320
so it's effectively a 7GCAA. It belongs to the Offutt AFB Aero Club
and has seen very little use, often sitting for weeks at a time until
a week ago when I began taking dual in it 2-3 times a week to get my
tailwheel...

I get to wait another week by
Jay Maynard
Well, I get to wait another week for my airplane. It's going in the paint
shop this Friday, and will be finished and tested next week. Yeah, I know
I've waited two and a half months already, and another week isn't that big a
deal...but I'm *really* getting antsy.

Annual overdue by a few days by

Am I allowed to fly my plane to a near by airport in order to complete
the aircraft annual even if it is a few days after annual due date? In
other words annual was done on 4/29/07 and now we are into May. What
do I need to do to get permission and how long can this extension be.
Would this be...

My plane ('71 Cardinal RG) just came out of annual with a newly over-hauled
prop and hub. The mechanic and I test flew the plane around the pattern.

Using wing jacks on an Archer by

I just got a wing jack from Aircraft Jacks and I'm trying to figure out if
I'll be able to safely use just one jack to get just one main gear off the

What Radio Should I Pick???? by
Charles Talleyrand
I have a KX-170 that's *sometimes* just not working right in my VFR
Cessna 150.
For the same price (about $1,300) I could get either
A McCoy MAC-1700 as a slide in replacement for the 170b
-or-
An Icom 200 as an additional radio (with the flaky KX170b as backup).
Any recommendations?
