cockpit managment system by
Kevin Brooker
I'd like to introduce my company, Relief Wear, to the soaring
community. Relief Wear's signature product is Peetot Pants, a garment
designed to make in-flight nature calls much easier. The pocket design
also helps keep the cockpit organized. Here is the website

$200 pulse oximeter for monitoring your oxygen saturation by
Eric Greenwell
I came across what looks like a really nifty pulse oximeter:
http://www.scantechmedical.com/spo_medical.htm
At $200US, there seems to be little excuse not to have one when flying
with oxygen. Has anyone used one, or have more information on it than at
this web site?
I think the Minolta Pulsox-3...

GPS Flight Recorder Comparison page by
Paul Remde
Hi,
I've just completed the first shot at my GPS Flight Recorder Comparison
page. I could use help with suggestions for the comparison table. I want
it to be fair and complete. I'm sure there are a few products missing that
I should add. I'm sure there are also additional features I should...

Updating B-100 by
Paul M. Cordell
I've updated the B100 to version 1.6 so I can load turnpoints from the
PC. I've placed the turnpoint file (asa_2004.ndb) in the B100 folder and
run both the turnpoint utility and then the version update. It seemed to
work, but I can't find the newly loaded turnpoint file in the
Instrument. It's not...

Slip to landing on PPG practical test by
Roger Worden
I'm preparing for my Private test, and in discussing it with the local FAA
examiner, he indicated that one item on the test is a landing with no drag
devices, using only a turning and forward slips. As he explained it, the
task in the PTS is to demonstrate the ability to land totally...

flatlets by
CV
Another aerodynamic bone to toss around and chew on:
Instead of carefully crafted, expensive winglets, wouldn't
straightforward flat end plates serve nearly as well in
reducing wingtip vortices and improve performance.
Have they ever been tried, and with what results ?

Winlet Streakline Video??? by
Mark Zivley
I did some searching around and found some videos, but not what I was
really hoping for. I'd like to find a video which might show the streak
lines before and after a winglet was added to a wing.
Anyone know of such a thing on the web and could post a link?
Thanks,
Mark

Old Genave radios by
John Giddy
Hi all,
We have a couple of old Genave Apha 10 radios in our training Blaniks
which are giving some trouble, and are getting harder to fix due to
difficulty of sourcing some of the components these days.
Rather than change the whole radio installation, I am wondering if
there are a couple of these...
