Canard nose pading by
Paul Lee
All you EZ/Cozy builders what do you put under the nose to protect
the fuselage when it is down? Extra thick paint?

Bill A.
Hi all. I'm looking for some suggestions on some plans. No kits though, I
want to scratch build something. I want a 2 seater so I can bring up nephews
and nieces. I would prefer a biplane or hi-wing and something low and slow.
Most of my flying will be local with occasional trips between LA and...

Garmin G1000 by
Corky Scott
In the latest AOPA magazine there is an article on one of the latest
Diamond aircraft which is equipped with dual Garmin G1000's.
I was really impressed in many ways by the units. Compared to a
normal AI, the things are HUGE, they're something like 10.5 inches
diagonally. It's like looking at...

Dual airspeed instruments questions by
Louis Gallego
Does anyone know how one would install two separate airspeed indicators? I
suspect one would need a separate pitot tube systems. Is this correct?
Also, how does one go about correcting an error (either too fast or slow) in
the indicator. I'm 2/3 done with the fuselage of my Zenith Zodiac 601XL...

cheap, durable, homebuilt aircrafts- myth or truth? by
-=:|SAJAN|:=-
Well as far as i know the concept of home homebuilt aircraft is very
vague because it would work only the aircraft controls are very easy
to understand or a person building it a pilot himself, else, either
the aircraft would crash or it wouldn't take-off. The second thing is
that if they are...

clever amateur built placard mods by
Joa
Ok, what clever "mods" have you all done (or seen) to the required
placard.... "Passenger Warning- This aircraft is amateur-built and
does not comply with the federal safety regulations for standard
aircraft."
Something to make the passengers feel a little more at ease.

Headset with mobilephone connection by
Mads
Hallo,
I've a Dave Clark headset and it would be great ofcourse to be able to
attach a mobilephone directly so I can switch between com radio and
mobilephone with the touch of a button (even better being able to listen to

Lancair 320 ram air? by
ROBIN FLY
Few weeks ago, 2 Lancair 320/360s stopped at my airport. I went over to get a
better look and found their engine air intake does not have any air filter.
Are they designed this way?
Would bugs be a problem?
Does it shorten the TBO?

yet stall at the same speed and give up nothing in terms of stability, etc.?

IFR Geese by
Dptate
Walking in the woods this morning under a low and snowing overcast, I heard a
large and loud formation of geese flying directly overhead but they were not
visible. I had no idea that geese were IFR rated.
