BGA daily inspection sign off by
Jonathan St. Cloud
Thought this should have it's own thread. I had never heard of a DI sign off book, but as the other items I have seen from the BGA, I will incorporate this to my daily flight routine.

NZ Glider Hangar Question by
[email protected]
Some of you have seen or read about the unique and clever hangar design at Omarama in NZ. On a visit more than a few years ago I examined them. And later I think I saw an article and/or pictures but can’t remember where. As a long retired Structural engineer, I promised to help a prominent...

Emergency Exit by
Dan Marotta
Not to change Dave's thread on leaving the Arcus, I was intrigued by
Francois' mention of the slippery cockpit floor in the front cockpit of
the Numbus 4DM.Â* I've noticed that in most single seaters I've flown and
I'm happy to say that my Stemme is fully carpeted to the forward
bulkhead which...

Soaring rides in Tahoe by
[email protected]
My wife and I are visiting Tahoe this Fall and considering a sailplane ride.. I've found TTSA and Soaring NV, perhaps there are more that offer rides. Anyone know these and can comment on whether one is better than the other or if there's a better option? Thanks.

Window for PW-5? by
Ed A
Our club is looking for a replacement Mecaplex sliding window, with scoop, for the PW-5. This window is somewhat larger than those found on most other gliders ... about 5 X 7.25 inches. Thanks.

washing the parachute's sheepskin pad by
[email protected]
The Region One contest last week suffered hot humid weather and we sweated a LOT. The sheepskin (?) snap-on pad on my Softy long 'chute smelled really bad afterwards, so I hand-washed it in cold water with Woolite detergent. It's somewhat better now (takes forever to hang-dry!) but still smells...

club computer by
kinsell
Curt,
Next time you're at the airport, could you power cycle the computer
underneath the desk in the backroom upstairs? Should start up
automatically when power restored.
I'm generally available in July to help with wings or whatever.
Tnx
Dave

skysight monthly subscription by
Dave Springford
Can anyone answer this question?
When buying a monthly skysight subscription, does it cover 30 days from the date of purchase or does it go to the end of the current month?
i.e. if I buy it today, is it good until 31 July or 10 August?

Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems for Trailers by
AS
Hi - all in Gliderland,
I am picking up the subject of the tire pressure monitoring systems for trailers from another, unrelated thread.
I would like to hear more from others who have installed one on trailers. One unit was mentioned which looks very sophisticated.
Has anyone used this one, which...

When gliders fail in flight, but pilots manage to land by
son_of_flubber
Bruno Vassel recalls how the control stick broke off in a glider pilot's hand and how that pilot landed the aircraft safely (using rudder to turn and trim to control speed).

Another favorite scenario is 'one spoiler stuck open'... the pilot opened...
