Ki-45 at Garber by old hoodoo
I can't seem to find any confirmation, either way, on whether the Ki-45 at Garber is a complete aircraft or just the fuselage missing tail section and wings/engines. The fuselage appears to be in great shape and has been photo'd several times, but fuselage only.

P-51 wings: silver paint or natural metal ? by Vicente Vazquez
AFAIK, P-51D's had their wings painted silver (upper & under surfaces) before delivery, while the fuselage remained with a natural metal finish. OTOH, I've seen some pics of WWII P-51D's with wings in natural metal finish. On a scale modelling forum, someone pointed out that "... the covering on...

review: new magazine "Bomber Legends" by Krztalizer
A few days ago, I rec'd the premier issue of "Bomber Legends", a product of the B-24 Liberator Club, based here in San Diego. For years, that org has produced an outstanding heavy bomber magazine called "Briefings", guided by an old bud named George Welsh. He is the current authority on B-24s but...

IAF jets in Auschwitz by JJoyce
Hi, I recently learned that IAF jets made a flyover the Auschwitz concentration camp. Can anyone of you point me out to where to find pics of this event? I saw some published in an Israeli newspaper in NY, but I forgot to buy it... Thanks.

Mig 29-- how good? by Charles Gray
There have been a lot of unkind things said about Russian hardware on this board...but... There are the following facts. 1. In most cases, it's been U.S. frontline (and face it, Israeli AF is equivelant to the U.S. frontline air force) against export models. 2. We've been fighting services with...

New novel and it's a good one by Lone Eagle
Just read a very good novel by Homer Hickam (October Sky). Titled The Keeper's Son.. Lots of adventure and romance. A great book to curl up in your chair with a cup of hot chocolate and just enjoy. Stephen Coonts says it's great, too. Set on the Outer Banks during WWII.

Something I saw raised a question in my mind: An MD-80's T-tail had one half pitched up and the other half pitched about neutral. My question is why any T-tail aircraft would allopw differential motion of the two halfs of the horizontal stab? It seems to me that the rolling couple such a position...
