777 Fuel Management System ? by
Bob
Hello,
On the 777, is the fuel management system, the transfer and selection of
the main, aux. tanks, etc., "completely" automatic, or must switches be
thrown like in the "old days" ?

Radio Questions, Please by
Bob
Hello,
Have radio monitoring as a hobby.
Sr. Citizen now, so please put up with my dumb question a bit.
A bit confused over the modes that are used for normal analog voice
communications.
If anyone could comment on these, would be most appreciative:

LAX SFRA = chaos by
lv2fly
The LAX SFRA can be a very safe place to fly as long as you understand the required altitudes, headings, and the common reporting points and you fly these with precision.
The attitude of pilots transitioning through the SFRA seems to be... the busier the corridor the more points you report. ...

Does anyone know when should carb heat be applied in a Piper Archer? I've been

HELP - Boston area rental - NOT Executive Flyers!!! by
[email protected]
Shameless plug for a new flight school in Plymouth (PYM). Yes, I am associated with the school.
Pilgrim Aviation rents clean, well maintained 152s, 172SPs and a Warrior out of the main terminal building at PYM. We also have a new Skycatcher for sport and a Cherokee Six. Our "short" runway is 2000...

Anybody take a small plane into LAX? Is it crazy? by
Bug Dout
I know a guy who flew his Ercoupe into JFK, so that it could be
disassembled and shipped to Europe. I think they wanted him to arrive in
the early morning hours, but he did it. If you still want to try it,
find the tower phone number and give them a call. You'll have to figure
out an FBO to keep...
