Strong enterprises by
tango4
Anyone know how to get hold of Strong Enterprises?
Their number is an 800 one so it doesn't work when dialing from the UK.
Their eMail server bounces addresses quoted on their site and their online
shop won't let me build a 'chute properley ( colours, canopy size, longer
straps ).
They may make...

From the AP:
POSTED: 10:21 am EDT May 9, 2006

the air and over a fence as a 4-year-old girl was jumping
on it, knocking her unconscious and breaking her arm
and pelvis, witnesses told police.

Strop design by
Edward Weaver
Has anyone got experience of using Orange Boat Fenders
in the strop configuration to help with visability
when looking for broken strops.
I would intend to fit this by the weak link having
the additional benefit of lifting the weak links of
the ground and reducing wear and battering.
My possible...

Strut on Cobra trailer by
K
I have a 1999 Cobra trailer (Recently purchased). I believe the strut on the tongue is due for a service because it moves so easily that you can almost not back up because the brakes are applied. I looked for a lockout (Like on my old trailer and I could not find one. Can these struts be serviced...

STS Handheld Radio Repair - USA by
Ray Lovinggood
Can anyone recommend where to send an STS handheld
radio for repair?
Or, should I just cut my losses and get a new(er) radio?
Something like an Icom or Vertex Standard (or whatever
they are called)?
Thanks,
Ray Lovinggood

STS radio battery - USA by
Ray Lovinggood
Where can I buy, in America, a replacement battery
for an 'STS' brand hand-held radio?
I think 'Batteries Plus' can get one for about $70.
I've e-mailed 'Tropic Aero', asking if they have the
batteries. I think I bought my last couple from them
several years ago, but I don't know if they still...

STS Radio Repair by
Bill Hansen
Try B&B Technical Service in Arvada, Colorado. I am sorry I do not
have their phone number handy. Bill has done a couple things for me
over the years. His work is exceptionally good and his prices are
reasonable.
Regards,
Bill

Stuck overun brake. by
Mike Lindsay
The overrun brake on our Comet trailer is jammed in the "brakes-
on" position, and has defied all attempts to free it.
I understand there are nylon components inside the trailer
tongue, so we don't want to try the time honoured option of heating it
with a blow lamp.
Does anyone...

Student motivation by
Bill D
I have a number of ratings. I approached training for each them the
same way. I got my glider ratings in an extremely informal club
environment and my airplane ratings at small Part 61 flight schools.
My goals we
1. Get the rating in the minimum time at the minimum cost.
2. Achieve the...

Student Pilot Distance from Gliderport Restrictions by

Our club is interested in what rules or restrictions other clubs or
operations may place on post solo student pilots related to the
distance they may fly from the airport when solo.
For example, club rules forbid flying out of gliding range of the
airport, students are required to stay in a...
