I am a 1LT in the Army National Guard, an Aviator, and I would like to go on active duty. I have done some research and my options are to apply to the Active Guard and Reserve or enter as a warrant. I have been surrounded by warrants and I like them and there responsibilities are real important...

know I am focused by 1LT 15B in AH-64D
I am an inexperienced Army aviator and was trepidatious about heading over to OIF. I have just heard the rumor that we are going after gunnery next year. I have seen the video of Nick Berg and I am ashamed that my convictions about evil had gotten clouded. My american skepticism of military...

Unusual landings on aircraft carriers by 87015
Many years back I recall a Sea Harrier landing on a container ship or such rather than ditch in the sea. There was a two page spread about it in the magazine "Air Pictorial" a few weeks after the incident. This was in the late 1980's. Of course I do know (and have seen the photos) of the 1960's...

P-3C Orion Mission Reports by A499March
Sirs, Can anyone please tell me when a P-3C Orion completes a mission where the information it has collected is sent? I have been trying, so far without any success, to learn where these records might be archived. Would they be sent out to a higher command as a "Mission Report" or included as part...

Catastophic depressurization in a commercial airliner by [email protected]
We all have seen the movies were one pistol shot or what not causes the side of an airliner explode sucking the people, seats, etc. into the void. What would happen in the reality? Let's assume the plane is at the cruising altitude.

P-47/51 deflection shots into the belly of the German tanks, reality or fiction? by [email protected]
Saw this mentioned several times. Sounds somewhat implausible. A whole lot implausible actually. Was this a common practice, an isolated incident blown out of proportions or a myth? Is there an approximate tally of German heavy armor (Pz IV and up) destroyed by the western allies attack planes?
