Beech Starship? SpaceShipOne? by DunxC
Hi, I watched the fantastic coverage of SpaceShipOne's historic flight yesterday and was truly impressed. I've long thought of Burt Rutan as the last of the pioneers, and this one cements it. However, did I really see a Beech Starship flying past also? I though Beech (or parent company) had...

Red Arrows to go? by IanDTurner
A populer UK Sunday paper is claiming the MOD is looking at axeing the Red Arrows in the sweeping round of planned defence cuts. The MOD denies any such plan. But, what do you think? Personally I'd rather have a front line Sqn on the books than a bunch of prima-donnas, despite the publicity side...

New Airplanes in WWI (ISOT) by Charles Talleyrand
Lets suppose you get to give a single new airplane design and a single prototype to a participant of World War One. You can offer the Austro-Hungarians the design for a B-52 if you wish. However, that might prove a manufacturing challenge to them (and one can only wonder about their supply of jet...

Reagan and Air Force One? by JDupre5762
During the week of President Reagan's death and funeral I heard on one radio station that President Bush allowed the 747 carrying Reagan's body to Washington DC to be designated Air Force One for that trip. Does anyone know if this is true. I wasn't able to watch or read as much about it as I...
