Mandatory 100hr checks - when? Also Dry Lease by
Michael
It's always been believed that if an aircraft (US registered) is
rented out, a 100hr check is required.
People believe all sorts of things that aren't true, including this.
I am now trying to find a reference to this in the FARs.
You will be looking a long time.
The above text doesn't...

Does anyone know where to purchase ear protection for dogs being taken
single-engine airplanes? Have searched everywhere and cannot find it, but
people say it *does* exist.
Thanks in advance.

Looking for some avionics manuals... by
Al Marzo
Peter;
It looks like all of those manuals should be available from the
manufacturers. Unfortunately since they are for airplanes, the prices
may reflect such. I've seen some manuals on CD ROM being sold on
Ebay, but haven't looked into the content. Pirated, no doubt, but
they may help. You can...

prop rpm question by
Bob Fry
At 1000 rpm or so, my airplane will taxi and get up to, what, 15-20
kts? But at double the rpm it will fly at 80-90 kts, though it would
take a long time to take off. Surely double the rpm produces more
than double the propellor thrust...or does it? Anyway, it seems very
nonlinear, that is,...

When bad things happen to good planes by
R.Hubbell
I thought I saw this plane on So. Cal. a year or to ago. My recollection
was that it was in great shape.
http://images.traderonline.com/img/2/dealer/3028490/60128272_1.jpg
I suppose it will live to fly again some day.
Seems like a lot of dough for a plane that wrinkled, maybe
it's not as bad as...
