In the test pilot thread I mentioned Hanna Reitsch and some of her
aircraft flown. I mentioned the See Adler (Sea Eagle) amphibian glider
which most of you have never heard of. Here is a photo of it(1935):

I haven't the expertise to add to a single thread, I have learned a
"boatload" (pun intended)of information. For that, I wish you all a very

From: RogerM
Attacks on US military targets justifies bombing Japanese cities?
It does if valid military targets like arsenals, ports, factories etc are in
those cities. I don't understand why you find that concept so hard to grasp.
It's not like anyone had smart...

FIRM Fighter Armament by
Ashton Archer III
Any word on the continued development of FIRM (FIeld Responsive
Munitions)?
It doesn't look like any fifth generation fighter will have this
capability as the current gun design would take up a huge ventral gun
tray and put the powerplant dangerously near the tail of the aircraft,
sandwiched...

What was the First Real Helicopter? by
Ashton Archer III
French or German?
I favor the Breguet-Dorand while most others claim the Focke-Wulf 61.
