Pressure Differential in heat Exchangers by
Bruce A. Frank
Morgans wrote:
Why not use a little electric fan to draw air past the radiator for extended
ground operations, like cars do?
It has been done. Bayard DuPont did it on the rear engine in his Defiant
and it worked well. Others who tried it found problems with ram air in
flight spinning the fans...

KitFox Airfoils by
Bruce A. Frank
I have been requested to build a pair of aluminum wing tank for a
KitFox. I don't have the details yet as to the model, but I thought I'd
try to locate some info. Is there a place on the web where I might find
diagrams or co-ordinates for the several airfoils used on KitFoxes?

Squared trailing edge of control sufraces by
Bruce A. Frank
A while back I remember seeing an article in one of the aviation
magazines about the affect of squared off trailing edges on control
surfaces of light planes. Anyone know where such an article might exist?
So far I have found several Boeing and NACA publications on wings with
blunt trailing edges,...

V-6 STOL Project For Sale by
Bruce A. Frank
Kenny has too many projects and just no time to finish this one. The
prop mentioned below is the McCauley 8467 two blade. Most builders using
the Ford engine find a need to repitch it to 72-76" to keep engine below
self imposed redline of 4800 rpm.

Lathe Help by
Bruce A. Frank
I have come by a lathe that has some electrical problems. The unit has a
2 hp 3 phase 220 volt motor. One of the magnetic relays was burned out
when I got the lathe. I replaces the relay, turned the switch on and the
brand new relay burned up also. Though the lathe came with most of the
tooling...

Oil Cooler for Auto-Conversions by

I have received several email from people building auto engines for

the Modine "Donut" water-to-oil cooler. This is a very nice heat
exchanger that fits between the engine block and spin-on oil filter. It
uses the coolant water...

Lowest cost per mile flown motor- 2 stroke by
Bruce A. Frank
In theory the lead provides lubrication, but in application it causes
sticking and burned valves from un-even deposits on the sealing surfaces
of the valve and seat. Now if you have rotators on the valves there
might be a different story. With the materials used in valves and valve
seats, even ...

Does anyone know where to find insturment images, I know about the
epanelbuilder.com site but either I forgot how to save the images or I
imagined that you could print them full sized. I want to be able to
rearrange the images on the panel mock up in the fuselage.
Thanks.

ram air pressure governed variable pitch prop by
Bruce Meacham
I remember seeing somewhere in some rag (SA, AOPA pilot maybe
Kitplanes) a new variable pitch propellor system that used ram air
pushing against the tip of the spinner to govern the blade pitch. It
had not propellor control, no hollow crank, no rpm governer, no
connections at all. Just when you...
