Montblack
Trade-A-Plane (TAP) has some new competition I learned tonight.
If you own an airplane AND are a pilot, you will receive a (FREE)

I think the first Vol. went out tonight. 125,000 copies shipped.
Take that TAP.

King Nav Head by
RST Engineering
About a month or more ago, I received a (free) Nav Head from a friend in
Marlborough MA. I'd like to publicly thank that person for their
generosity, but there was no name on the package.
I know it came from a post here in the ra* groups, but I can't google the
original document.
Any help?
Jim

Used Great Plains 2180 value? by
Bellsouth News Server
Greetings,
I recently purchased a Sonerai project that came with a Great Plains 2180
engine. As the story goes, the engine was built by a guy who was trying to
make it work on a RANS float equipped plane, and just couldn't get enough
thrust for climb. The last owner of the Sonerai project bought...

Altimeter Disassembly by
Dick
Received an old , externaly corroded Piper altimeter a while ago and I'd
like to take it apart for a look-see but can't figure how the guts mechanism
comes out. Presently have the glass lens, holder and knob off.
Any suggestions short of cutting the case in two G would be appreciated.
Thanks,...

FAA Advice request: Plus a GlaStar note by
Tim Hickey
A question for the group, and a note to the group for a friend:
My question has to do with my having an experience with a detached
retina. From what I read on AOPA and other web sites, I am obligated
to send paperwork from my doctor to the FAA for consideration. I have
been told by AOPA that this...

Vibration Monitor (Hyde, Wanttaja?) by
RST Engineering
Necessity, as they say, is a mother.
I am in the process of reinventing a square wheel called a vibration
monitor. The electronics is relatively trivial IF the input and output
parameters are known.
What we know is that the engine is going to have a fundamental frequency at
cruise RPM. Let's...

Jim Weir - Rubber 'Baby Belly Baluns by

For Jim (and kibitzers of all stripes :-):
I had a curious situation yesterday while flying my Fly Baby. An aircraft

aircraft-band receiver said that my radio was a bit scratchy, but perfectly
readable.
I think I'm...
