Which is/are the best AutoGyro(s)? by [email protected]
Would someone please recommend the best one-seater autogyro? I'm looking for the best combination of strongest, lightest frame and quietest, most powerful engine with least vibration. Thank you very much for your time and attention. Sincerely, Michael Bramante Bramante AT Comcast DOT net

Another deposit into the "Cool Dad" bucket... by SHIVER ME TIMBERS
The OTHER Kevin in San Diego wrote: This may sound egotistical, but I am by far the coolest dad at my kid's school.. Now that was a good story. I can just picture you daughter in school tomorrow during the lunch break listening to the other kids bragging about what they did with their days...

Helicopter Ag flying by [email protected]
As a lurker for some time, I am in awe of the ability it must take to be an ag flyer. I have flown helis for several years but only as a PP. The gentleman here who professes to be an ag pilot has more than a little daring in him to perform some of his required feats. I also "sort of" understand the...

Will gyro experience xfer to helocopter? by Mark
Howdy group, I just got my private pilot certicate (for airplanes) last week and I'll soon be starting on my gyrocopter certificate. (Actually I've already got 16 hours of dual logged in a gyro, and by next spring I plan to have a two place gyro of my own.) My question is this: Will experience a...

Crop Dusting with Helicopters by [email protected]
Since I seem to have stirred a little interest, I'll try to enlighten those who care to read it. I'm one of those fortunate few who get to do stuff that many can't even dream of or imagine with helicopters. An old friend of mine, corporate helo pilot with 12K+ hours did some ag flying with me and...

Speaking of POP OUT FLOATS by SHIVER ME TIMBERS
How many of you saw the shots on TV last night of the helicopter upside down in the water... in NYC. Looks like the floats at least kept the machine at the water's surface as apposed to the machine sinking. But as a lurker who only saw one shot of the machine.... what do I know. Where's Micbloo...

A good starting point? by Victor J. Osborne, Jr.
Forgive the question if it has been beat to death but "What is good a aircraft to start with in getting a rotorcraft rating? I currently have an A36 Bonanza with a CP-ASEL. I live in TN. I don't think I want to deal with R44's based on comments from some in our area. I'm leaning toward...

Too close? Too small? by [email protected]
Was flying a UH13ET recently and hit the tip of a blade on a tree. It tore the end cap and the blades had to come off for inspection/repair. Hmmm...a little too close. Landing on an elevated pad about 10' off the ground and the skids hang off front and back. Sometimes its a little dicey taking off...

Paging Pilot Kevin - Paging Pilot Kevin by SHIVER ME TIMBERS
Well I was off the newsgroups for a few weeks due to a wardrobe malfunction and kinda missed some of your posts and didn't comment when you changed flight schools. So congrats... I understand the new license is safely in the wallet next to the Visa card and condoms. So how many hours you got and...

Well seeing your posts today kinda jogged my brain about the posting you made the other day looking for someone to help fly your 206 down to Florida. I'm kinda curious, and I'm sure others are as well... As to what sort of response you have received in the past when you made this...
