Air Tour Virtual Meeting by
Jim
I'm asking everyone in the group to please take the time to visit the FAA
site and post a comment or two on the proposed National Air Tour Safety
Standards Public Meeting.
I was just there and disappointed in the lack of comments.

Air-Oil Separators by
[email protected]
I am considering installing an air-oil separator in my 172H (Cont
O-300d). I have spoken with Airwolf who say theirs will work well and
is ALMOST STC'd but they "will provide the required paperwork to make
it legal until the STC comes thru" (whatever that means).
I also spoke with Aircraft Spruce...

Air/Oil Separators by
Kensandyeggo
I'm running a Lyc O-360. Anyone have any experience, good or bad with
any of the air/oil separators? My craft is certified, so I have to use
one of the approved ones. $360 seems a little overpriced for about 5
bucks worth of material, but then I don't know what it cost them to get
it approved. ...

Aircraft 3d CAD Models by
Bill Hale
So if one is interested in doing anything but the
standard paint job, they should be pretty sure what
it is going to look like.
We've seen the ones that "looked like a good idea" on paper.
I'm looking for a 3D CAD model for the BE-33. I've seen
one for the V tails.
This could be used with a...

Aircraft Blue Book by
[email protected]
Hello, anyone out there have a fairly recent Aircraft Blue Book, I
would like to know the value on an aircraft. Tried looking it up on
aopa's vref since I'm a member but the plane wasn't in the drop down
menu. Can't call the finance company I'm using since it's Saturday. I
know, patience...

Aircraft certification questions. by
psyshrike
Howdy,
How does FAA type certification relate to intellectual property
rights? For example: everything in an O-235 has been out of patent for
years now. Same with old aircraft designs. Is there any reason why
somebody couldn't tool up and start ripping out O-235s, and selling
them new?
I ask...

Aircraft choice... by
Robert Barker
Our club is getting ready to purchase another airplane. To keep insurance
costs low, we're leaning strongly towards fixed gear. But if we want higher
performance than we get from our 172s and our DA40 (hoping for 150kts or
better), it seems we're limited to 182's, Cirrus, and Columbia. The...

Aircraft Clock Service by

I am a watchmaker in Baltimore who specializes in mechanical aircraft clocks
for collectors. It dawned on me that I could do something useful and make
my services known to owners and restorers of vintage aircraft. While I can
arrange to have clocks needing certification (non-experimental...

Aircraft comparison by
Jkgoblue
Is there a web site or has anyone done a spread sheet comparing the
specifications of real 4 place aircraft? I'm talking about the standard
stuff with gross weight, useful load, stall cruise speed, cabin
dimensions, etc. I'm really interested in the Columbia 350, Cessna 182,
Cirrus SR-20, Diamond...
