Working with plexiglass in winter by
Ben Jackson
I'd like to replace my side windows this winter. Will working with
plexiglass be substantially harder with temps in the 30-40F range?
Will the adhesives cure or will I need to heat the hangar?

worn injector? by
[email protected]
I've had trouble getting my IO360 to run lean lately - Cylinder 4 EGT
runs a coolest when rich, but when I lean, #4 peaks a LOT later than
the other 3, and at much higher EGT (1500+ compared with 1400+ on the
others. I'm just wondering whether the orifice on #4 could be worn and
now just running...

WOT in cruise? by
Roger Long
I was always taught that WOT was a "renter's setting" and that you should
back off to 2300-2400 if you want to get good life out of your engine. I
keep running across the Advanced Pilot Seminar guys asking, "Why EVER be
partial throttle in cruise?
Of course, they are probably also talking about...

Would like to talk with an insurance underwriter..... by
[email protected]
Are there any aviation insurance underwriters on the group?
I'd like to understand better the factors that go into insuring a
customer.
For example, I put in a claim for damages which occured during
training, when I was not the PIC. I'd like to understand if the
insurance underwriter is looking...

Would this plane have flown? by
Robert M. Gary
http://www.thegaryhouse.com/aircraftdamage/
I was down in a remote area of Mexico this last weekend and a truck
backed into my aileron. I was lucky that the driver had a sat phone and
I was able to call an A&P to come down to Mexico and swap it for me.
However, all the local pilots, and the A&P...

Would you by this engine? by
Greg Copeland
I've been shopping for a plane for a while. I'm hoping I found the
one but the engine has given me pause. The engine is 17-years old.
It has ~700 hours on it. The average per year is only 49hr/year. Two
years during that 17, the plane did not fly and I'm guessing it was
not pickled. The latest...

Wrong data in Jepp GPS database? by
Roy Smith
I had a strange experience with our CNX-80 earlier today. Heading back
into HPN, we tried to bring up the approach frequency 126.4, and discovered
it wasn't in the database. There were the normal secondary freqs (120.8
and 124.65), but no 126.4. Then I looked up DXR (Danbury, right next...

WSI weather? by
Paul kgyy
Every once in a while during a TAP browse I encounter a "WSI" weather
system. I've looked at their site but it seems short on information.
Is this the system that requires the GDL49/69 box to display on a
Garmin screen?
Anybody know about cost compared with XM?

WTB a TRT250 by
d brown
Honest to gosh. I want to buy a TRT250 (the pushbutton transponder).
Working condition not important.
Reason - I want a second so that I can use them as a matched pair
of wheel chocks - really.
