Spartan C-71, USAAF s/n "42-38266 was N17657 c/n 7W-26. Originally
sold to Des Moines Iowa Register and Tribune, impressed Mar 16, 1942.
Returned in 1945. Restored to NC17657 Jan 31, 1945, to N46481 Jul 18,
1950, to YV-T-VTC Jun 26, 1964, to N5053 Apr 1969. Still on register
in 2001 as N5053....

My sister sent me scans of these photos taken by her husband's
grandfather, who served in the USAAF during World War II. She didn't
know much about them, but said that he spent some time in Mississippi
