For the record . . . by
Lonnie J. Potter
For the record, Colonel Paul Tibbets appeared at
Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott Arizona some three or four
years ago. Although Colonel Tibbets dropped the first nuclear device on
Hiroshima Japan, it must be noted that Major Sweeney, flying a B-29 by the
name of Bockscar, flew the...

OT - No Pic. Question about the EE Lightning by
Neil Hoskins
I watched a documentary on telly the other evening about the earth's
atmosphere. The presenter was taken to 50,000ft and beyond in what looked a
lot like a lightning, which amazed me as I'd assumed there weren't any still
flying. If I'm right, then how many are still flying, and when/where can...

C-119 MODEL - 3 attachments (1/2) by

Which means that the USAF Serial No. is 50-33142. As I understand it, that
by no means implies that the USAF acquired 33142 A/C that year. It's simply
the number assigned this A/C.

Trivium or false? by
Square Wheels[_3_]
Got this in an email full of 'little-known facts'. Most were correct, but
a few were not.
So, does this seem about right? I would have guessed more.
I checked out Snopes, but no reference there.

Rusty's Low Level Review - 2007-001.jpg (0/1) by
RustY©
2007 was not the best year in the UK for plane spotting at low level. The
poor weather through the summer and the general lack of military aircraft
in the country made this years results poor, both in terms of quantity and
quality but I did get some great shots and I will be back next year. I...
