Good feeling landing / 200th hour by Yossarian
How did you go through all your training without ever stopping at a controlled airport? Let's hear about that engine failure. "A Lieberman" wrote in message ... On my 200th hour, I had my best feel good landing. Been interesting to look back...

Commercial pilot requirements & training questions by Yossarian
In the next few months I plan on getting my commercial single engine land and multi engine ratings. I'm totally baffled by the aeronautical experience requirements though. FAR 61.129 is pretty clear that SEL and MEL each have required dual and solo cross countries and night flight. However I...

Saw a low-flying rental... let the FBO know? by Yossarian
Driving home today I saw a 172 that I've flown many times heading toward me slowly at about 500'. This is in SoCal, so it's obviously a densely packed urban area. In fact I pulled over and turned my car off so I could hear if the Cessna was having engine trouble. I'm debating whether to inform...

Stuck at work--need takeoff/landing distances for a 172 please by Yossarian
Excuse my laziness but if anyone feels like checking some distances for me I would be greatly appreciative ;) 172SP, fully loaded, 73' field elevation (Bermuda Dunes, CA), 120 degrees F, paved runway, assume no wind. I have a feeling the density altitude isn't going to make this feasible.

Hawthorne CA to San Francisco flight planning by Yossarian
I'm planning my longest XC yet, from Hawthorne CA to (most likely) Hayward Executive up by San Francisco. This will be a day VFR flight in a C172SP in mid to late April. I'm pretty close to getting my instrument rating and have 120 hours. I'd like to get opinions on the route. The two choices I...

technological underpinnings demanded by these requirements would be enormously complex and is far beyond the experience and current competency of the field. Even if such infrastructures could be built, the risks and costs of such an operating environment may ultimately prove unacceptable. In...

Remember this dick heads by YES
Trolling represents the TRUEST form of free speech and those like myself recognize it for what it really is…a playful exchange, spicing up facts and information with a kind of melodramatic parody of war and conflict. It brings style to the Internet, a form of art, UPA and IPA, Usenet...
