Selling Original, (Signed), Skyblazers Team Painting! by
surfduke
I have lost my Job! I need to sell a picture I have of the original
Skyblazers Signed by the team. My grandfather passed it on to me but, I
am in need of money right now. The Twin Patillo Brothers knew my
grandfather, (They give it to him). It is a pen and ink done in
Fürstenfeldbruck, (In...

RV-6 Snap Rolls by
Ted Timmons
Van wrote an article in which he states "RV's are not well
suited for because high G forces are needed to produce a
brisk snap roll."
When I do snap rolls in my Aerobat (perhaps that's an oxymoron) I do an
accelerated stall at 75kts which is well below my Va of 105 kts so there
is no possibility...

ZLIN 242 by
Klaus Hofmann
Hello,
after one year experience with a 226, I think about replacing it
with a Zlin 242. I have flown 226, 526 and 142 and I know very well,
that the *26 ist the nicer airplane for aerobatics. But there are
little con's which ad up.
- If you (I) fly only a few times per month taildragger, doing...

Arnie
A friend asked me what was this "Fallen angel" maneuver, but I've never hear

Questions about aerobatics by
Ghazan Haider
These should be in the FAQ:
(1) Can a PPL do aerobatics? If another certification is required what
are the hourly flight minimums in an aero aircraft?
(2) What is the difference between the wing-on-top aerobats like the
Decathlon and the low-wing types like Extra 300 and Cap-232?
(3) Where can I...

Compression Tests by
Doug
Does anyone do an "automotive" type compression test on their aircraft
engine? I think this kind of "dynamic" test might show problems (such
as valves not opening all the way), that a leakdown test would not
(and vice-versa). Anyway my annual is coming up and I want to do it. I
imagine something...

Pitts Canopy Conversion by
LOKE
Does anyone have experience with the Pitts Canopy conversion available
from AVIAT? It's a bit difficult to determine from their discription
- but it appears that you can configur it so that either the fron or
the back can be covered - or you can fly with both cockpits open. Is
this a proper...

Aerobatics in Northern NJ by
Andrew Gideon
Going through the archive of this group, I see several posts about
aerobatics at Sussex. One mentions a place called Airbatix, while others
mention instructors by name.
But these posts weren't recent.
Is there any aerobatic training going on in Northern NJ now? I know about
Van Sant, but I'm...

Skybolt Tail Incidence Question by
Scott Rodriguez
My set of Skybolt plans call out a starting horizontal stabilizer incidence
angle of 0.5 degrees to 1.0 degrees, although IIRC, some years ago folks
indicated the actual incidence needed is greater, around 1.5 degrees to 2.0
degrees.
Are there any Skybolt drivers out there that know what their...
