Chills, spills, and bozos at Oshkosh arrival by
[email protected]
My friend Lee and I sat along runway 18 on Sunday as the arrivals come
into Oshkosh. Many pilots did a great job, but there were some notable
exceptions:
Chills: A Pitts snuck in under a Cessna on 18R, and the Cessna almost
lost its tail to the prop of the Pitts. The controller kept telling
the...

Don't miss the Gig harbor Cruiser's car, boat, & plane show this Saturday at

Admission and parking is *free* for spectators whether you drive or fly in.
If you fly in, you can park near the show participants. Everyone would love

consensual pedophilia is ok by
free speech is tough, huh?
Pedophiles are the new scapegoats, just as Jews were in the past.
Pedo philes are innocent if they have not used force, deception,
intimidation,
or drugs, and if their acts have been consentual. Even then, the
death
penalty would be wrong.
The pedophilia scare is a fake. It is not harmful. That...

I'm thinking of doing my flight training in FLORIDA.
I'd like to make it to a commerical pilot's license (CPL) with
multi-engine (MER) and instrument ratings (IR).
Any SPECIFIC flight training INSTITUTES you could recommend?
What about accomodation?

Reporting windsheer by
Peter R.
Last week during the climb-out, I encountered clear-air windsheer (as
opposed to thunderstorm-induced windsheer) at about 4,500 feet above the
ground.
The airspeed indicator dropped 15 knots while my groundspeed increased.
After a minute or so, the airspeed indicator returned to its...

Aircraft Flight Log by
John Clonts
Is it required to maintain a log of individual flights for an aircraft
personally owned and operated under part 91? I know that we do this
but I'm not sure that it's required...

Its amazing how they got all that stuff in there. The thing really is nice.
It was cool the winds aloft temperature it was even showing a few storms out
to the east. I think Garmin has a winner.

re.aviation.ifr by
Tom Fleischman
I'm planning a trip for mid-May from WHite Plains, NY (KHPN) to Santa
Fe, NM (KSF). I'm wondering if anyone here has made a similar flight
and has any advice for me.
I will be single-pilot IFR, will be flying a Beech Debonair and am
planning to file for a TAS of 165kts at 10,000'. I've broken the...
