Went absolutely nowhere today - and had a ton of fun. by
Ol Shy & Bashful
Kev
Along the coast at Pt Loma there are the remains of a number of old
coastal gun emplacements. I lived in Azure Vista (ever heard of it?

When the bunkers...

Has anyone here been involved in the process of getting an OH-58 for a local
police or sheriff's department? Our county has been on the list for a while
and not getting anywhere. Any help would be appreciated.

Any CFI insurance 300h ? by
Steve L.
Hi,
we have a problem here. For a small R22 school we need a new CFI. The
CFII we want, however, has only 202h in R22 (another 250h in small
planes).
Our Pathfinder endorsement requires 300h helicopter for CFIs to give
instruction!
Does anyone here know of a possibility to let this CFI get his...

Got my medical! by
Simon Robbins
Did my Class 1 medical at Gatwick yesterday. All looks good. Not confirmed
of course until the specialist has seen the x-ray and heart trace that they
do as a matter of course, but nothing scary showed up so I should be fine..
now all I've got to do is find the balls to sell up and go for it!

Well I'm going to try and do this a bit different. I just got home from the
airport and I'm determined to try and encapsulate my day's flying in writing
*before* I have a hot bath to relieve the aches and pains (and boy do I ache
today) or fall asleep and wipe my memory of the flights. Hopefully...

Terry Kruse by
Helimech
The helicopter world sadly lost Terry Kruse to cancer on March 30, 2004.
Terry was the DOM at Cav-Air, Inc. in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. Terry's
helicopter knowledge was legionary, no manufacture or models were beyond his
mental database. Services were held last Friday in Ft. Lauderdale where
hundreds...
