SN10B for sale by Dick[_3_]
SN10B for sale with Garmin GPS. I just bought a beautiful 2001 model Discus 2 B equipped with the SN10. I have had Cambridge equipment since the C Nav first came out and as they say “old dogs don’t learn new tricks”. I plan to replace the SN10 with a Cambridge 302. I will sell it to the best...

reply from Erwin Salzinger by hretting
I don't think Erwin read the part about not being funny, John, and what he wrote was most funny. I didn't think Germans could be funny. Except my grandfather, who liked to dance around in his underwear after consuming large quantity of beer. Growing up in Miami with no air condition and...

FAI triangle records speed question by Bruno
How much faster do you need to fly any FAI distance for it to count as a new record? For example, if my current state's 300km triangle record is 72 miles per hour does someone just need to fly it 73 miles per hour or is there a certain percentage to improve by? Thanks, Bruno

Soaring in the Swiss Alps by [email protected]
Hi all, I'll be in Switzerland (Lugano) from 6/20 through 6/23 and I'd love to go soaring when I'm there. Does anyone know of a site near enough to Lugano that I could go soaring one day that I'm there (checkout w/instructor and rental)? Thanks, Dave

On Jun 5, 5:56*am, John Smith wrote: the correct way is horizontal. The idea is to make it insensitive to "uncoordinated" flight. I've never flown that probe myself, but I've heard good critics from other pilots. That makes much more sense than claiming the a...

Short field glider ops by [email protected]
Hi I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas on how to calculate short field operations for takeoff on hot summer days. 2400 foot runway, with a supercub at 95 degrees for a single place glider seems like it would work fine. Your pucker factor does get to you as you cross the trees at 30-40...

Using the newer esa probe, model DN/3-fach/UN, with the two "prongs". Does the orientation matter, and if so, which way is correct? Horizontal or up/down? Thanks. also, comedic replies not needed. J4

Vertex VXA-150 troubleshooting by JS
Does anyone on the group know the button combination to press to unlokc the radio from "E 121.500"? An odd combination of buttons pressed in flight with an elbow has locked it up. David Jansen's wife unlocked it once, but I was in the middle of launching 50+ gliders and don't remember her...

Vertical stabilizer wont come out (Asw-19) by [email protected]
Hi, I was wondering if anyone experienced anything alike before and might have any useful insights: My vertical stabilizer on the Asw-19 has always been a problem when being disassembled and has always required little more force to remove than it was called for. Anyways, today I have assembled a...
