My glider is equipped with a quite old Becker box. The microphone cable is in very bad conditions and i have a bunch of cables going back and forth from the panel to the box, which is fixed close to my right shoulder behind the seat. I'm wondering if this is really necessary, or if i should go for...

Don't you just love the media? by Glidergeek
Not to make light of the 3 deaths associated to the SFO crash. But this demonstrates how politically "correct" the media is. Think outside the box? what box! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=L1JYHNX8pdo

Help adding a 2nd waypoint file in XCSoar by Vsoars
I can't pull up the new waypoint file. When I start XCSoar, it does not show two profiles for the two waypoint lists I have up-loaded. Does that mean that the new waypoint file is not loaded correctly, or can I select the new waypoint list via another screen?

Standard Cirrus PowerFLARM mount by Tony[_5_]
On Sunday I saw 2 regional airliners and King Air inbound to Wichita. Has anyone come up with a PowerFLARM mounting solution for a Std. Cirrus that won't get me on the Hall of Shame? Not enough space on top of the glare shield to keep the antennas straight. Thanks! Tony

ATR 500 display by Martin Gregorie[_4_]
I have a Filser ATR 500 that can be hard to read under some lighting conditions. I'm not using the display backlight. I'd be grateful if any ATR 500 owner who has tried using the backlight can tell me if its worth disturbing the wiring harness to turn it on and if so, is there a further benefit...

PocketNAV on IPAQ 3800 ? by asw
Has anyone tried to run the old Cambridge software PocketNAV-CE3 on an IPAQ 3800 ? I do not want to use it for flying (I fly with Winpilot), but only for sending tasks to and downloading flights from the Cambridge GPS-NAV 20. My Ipaq is a 3870 with Windows CE 3.0/pocketPC 2002 operating system and...
