stress cards? by
Ablang-Duff
Lately, I've heard at USAF OTS that they are no longer allowed to yell at OTs.
So now someone in enlisted told me that these guys now have "stress" cards that
they can flash when they are nervous?
Is this true?

Hiroshima V. Berlin. by
Charles Gray
For those who think it woudl have been such a wonderful idea to
invade, I call up the image of the Battle Of Berlin. One source
states:
*Berlin’s fate was sealed, but the resistance continued. Fighting was
heavy, with house-to-house and hand-to-hand combat. The Soviets
sustained 305,000 dead; the...

News: Czech Republic select European Fighterjets over F-16 by
Karl
The Czech cabinet decided Wednesday to select new SAAB/BAe JAS 39C
Gripen 4th Generation Multirole jetfighters as replacement over
their MIG-21 fleet.
The Swedish offer outbid 4 other contenders, with the US offer of
used F-16's ending in last place, the Belgian F-16 offer came...

F-16 Source Code by
Charles Talleyrand
The F-16 is a very popular airplane. I'm just curious who has copies of the source code to the plane and it's radar, etc.
Obviously the USAF does, but do the Israeli,
the Belgians, or anyone else?
-Thanks

About the Hiroshima justification threads by
Jughead
I haven't wasted even a second bothering to read any of the messages in
those threads, but I just have a couple of questions:
1. Who gives a **** whether or not it was truly justified? What person
living today can say they really had jack **** to do with an executive
decision made nearly 60 years...

Briefcase and Me by
Bob McKellar
Totally Off Topic for RAM, posted there out of habit
Briefcase and Me
I first met Briefcase in 1969. I was a new Ensign, assigned
as Disbursing Officer on a new ship being constructed in New
Orleans. We were set up in dingy offices on a rickety old
pier on the West Bank, hosted by the Eighth...

On topic: A-Bomb necessary? A different approach? by
old hoodoo
JMO:
The only issue about the Nagasaki and Hiroshima is if it is justifiable in
war to one child in the hopes that more children will be saved overall
and/or if a single soldier is more valuable than a single child. A basic
morality question.
To me, its a question of responsibility. I...

Xmas Eve 1944 by
ArtKramr
We fly two missions again today. No losses. The sky is once more full of
C-47's and parachutes as the 101st continues to be resupplied. The C-47's will
fly over 5,000 missions before the battle is over. The men of the 101st await
Xmas Eve deep down in their frozen foxholes clutching their K...

A-Bomb, Justified .?! by
Legal Tender
I see we have that old problem again about if "it" should have been used or
not..
Well I did some research. I checked over the wanted adds in papers from Ca
to Wa for Oct and Nov 1941.
I did not see any adds from America asking another country to attack us.
Ok we got that out of the way,
We did...

Options in Summer of '45 by
Matt Wiser
I'd like to give the A-Bomb naysayers a list of options and see what THEY
would've done in Summer of '45 to end the Pacific War, so here goes:
1) Bombing and Blockade: May take up to 18 months according to JCS.
Still some traffic from Korea to Japan via Sea of Japan despite USN subs
now in Sea of...
