UNDERWEAR LINGERIE by
[email protected]
Lingerie is a term for women's fashion underwear. It derives from the
French word 'lin' for linen. While the term in the French language
applies to all underwears for either sex, in English it is applied
only to those women's underwears designed to be visually appealing or
erotic, typically...

Today's Wall Street Journal contained an article on AirBus.
With the Paris Airshow less than a week away, there are only 13 firm
orders.

Looking for facts about high compression pistons by
Ron Lee[_2_]
Since I have to overhaul my O-360 engine I am trying to assess the
facts and old wive tales about using higher than 8.5:1 pistons. I am
not concerned about running autogas.
I fly at high altitudes. Usually 10500'-12,500' and up to 17,500'
when over the Rockies. My home airport is around 6,800'...

US Military now wants more northern NY airspace to expand those MOAs by
Peter R.
I have to admit, all of this fighting for our piece of the sky does at times
begin to wear away one's enthusiasm for aviation.
The latest news is that the US military is now attempting to significantly
expand the MOAs in northern NY to include at least one important Victor
airway that would...

Sigmatek Aeon Vacuum pump? by
Doug Palmer
Does anybody have any real world data on this piston version of a vacuum
pump?
http://www.sigmatek.com/1U478-003/1U478-003%20Introduction.htm
I do not have an installation that readily allows a wet pump, and most of
the folks on our field believe that dry pumps are the worst idea that have...

ACLU sues Jeppesen for Flights by
Jim Maher
This is rich. The American Civil Liberties Union, also known for
its staunch support of the North American Man-Boy Lovers Association
(NAMBLA), just filed a suit of Boeing's Jeppesen subsidiary. The
reason? The ACLU is accusing Jeppesen for providing flight services to
the CIA, which Boeing...

Great aviation museum by
Viperdoc
Just spent the day at the Evergreen Aviation Museum in McMinnville, OR.
(around an hour SW of Portland)
It is an unbelievable facility, and rivals the NASM in terms of the displays
and collection. The original Spruce Goose is the main feature, but they have
a B-17, B-25, A-26, F-100, F4U, etc....

interesting moment yesterday on final by
Tom[_5_]
So I went for a lovely flight yesterday, from Bedford (KBED) down to
Nantucket (KACK) for dinner. We flew down there in the last hour or so
of daylight with a smooth ride and great views, and then returned at
night with an even smoother ride and great night-time views, including
a few circles over...

GPS Rentals by
Kyle Boatright
For me, the up front and ongoing costs of an XM weather equipped handheld
GPS put it on the wrong side of the value curve. I simply don't do enough
long X/C's to justify (ok, to rationalize) spending that kind of money.
But, if I could rent one for $50/day or $200/wk, that might make sense for...

VFR "picking his way thru" heavy cells with XM Radio weather by
Peter R.
I was listening to LiveATC.net's feed of Syracuse, NY, yesterday (Sunday)
during the approach of a large thunderstorm line that was moving towards the
airport from the south. At one point a VFR a Cessna 172, approaching the
airport from the west, checked in stating his intention to land at SYR.
As...

Anybody heard of this rule for airports. by
Gig 601XL Builder
Our city council was told last night by the mayor that a fire truck was
going to have to be placed and manned at KELD because of "a federal mandate
requiring fire-fighting personnel and equipment be posted at the airport 15
minutes before and 15 minutes after the take-off and landing of each...

Went up again on Saturday morning.
I arrived, ready to do a dual flight to knock of the remaining items yet to

another student who was yet to solo.
The wind was very, very light, and pretty much across runway 17, so I...

GA piston flying down almost 50% since 2000 by

Just look at the drops of avgas consumption:

I wonder if those sales figures from the 1980s included military
aircraft? There used to be lots of military hardware burning avgas
