Lago Tornado and FS2004 by
Paul H.
I think it was someone on this group wanted to know about Lago's
Tornado and Fs2004. I have tested Tornado Version 1 and all aircraft
and panesl work fine. Since I don't have the refuelling version can't
comment, but should see no problems with it. You will just have to
browse to c:\program files\...

FSX Start Up by
L D S
Hello,
I'm new here and have a question. I've been using FSX for about 4 months now
with no problems. Two days ago FSX started skipping the aircraft, location,
season/time and weather options that used to come up when I started the sim.
Now After starting the program it loads up and starts in...

MS and Saitek throttles ... and woes therein by
Doc Tony
It's been many moons since I last posted in RAS but sparing all a long
story which would place you in Z-Land forthwith as to the why of that, I
'rediscovered' my otherwise 10 year flight sim hobby and am getting back
into it ... slowly but surely. Ditto, after this, rec.av.piloting
because,...

Special Flight Setup Question (COF) by
Dudley Henriques
Got a question if I may please. I've been fooling around with something and
I think I'm close to getting it right but could use a little advice here.
What I'm trying to do is create a flight without a flight plan from a
specific airport I intend to depart from, fly around a bit, and return
to...but...

x-plane installation by
George Graham
After reading the great article in EAA Mag about the X-Plane flight
simulator, I went online and bought a copy. I installed it and the
scenery disk per instructions, even logged into the online help and
downloaded the Cozy IV airplane. I can fly it from my home airport
(ksrq) in Florida. I have...

Flight Simulator now being used by flight instructors by

It may be being used, but it is not certified for use. I.E you can't log
flight hours in it. As far as I could tell, I couldn't be bothered reading
it all. There is no point in it...

Discussion about actually building a motion based simulator by
[email protected]
Hi,
I am dreaming about building a motion based flight simulator and
wondered if this is the correct group to be in?
I looked at sci.aeronautics.simulation as mentioned in this group's
FAQ, but that seems to be a dead group just full of cr*p posts.
Stuff I'd like to get opinion on is things like...

Hi all, Anyone get the Garmin G1000 simulator to work with CH yoke and
pedals? I've tried two versions including the latest G1000 trainer I
just got in the mail. I also downloaded and installed the CH Control
Monitor for assigning different settings to different programs.
Basically the CH Yoke...

High Altitude simulator accuracy in X-Plane by
Ghazan Haider
In X-plane 7.0, I have reached 240,000 ft in altitude with an F-16, and
290,000 with an SR-71. Now after 80,000 where the atmosphere is thin,
apparently the jet engines with afterburner are still pushing the
aircraft with the same force (no oxygen around).
I wonder if this accurately shows the...

2004 Realism by

Today I was at my local airport (KDYB) with my wife and grandson. We were
sitting at one of the picnic tables they have along side of the office
watching the planes. I commented to my wife how impressed I am with this new
software I bought, FS 2004. I told her that what amazed me is how...

FS2004: Ceilings/visibility too high by
ajohnson
I am a private pilot with an instrument rating and one
of my primary uses for MSFS is practicing instrument
approaches. I like to set the cloud deck to the minimum
ceilings for that approach (e.g. 200 ft and 1/2 mile vis
for an ILS), plus winds etc, so I break out of the clouds
right at minimums...
